@@marcclay9125 Not really. In the specific case of the game, the solution works as letting people act independently in theory only impacts the individual. There are some situations and cases in life where individual actions impact the collective, and letting everyone make their own decision isn't necessarily best. Perhaps easiest, or most moral depending on your own beliefs.
"That is for people to decide on their own." "Adults are all so stubborn... It is shameful." This is why Majora's Mask continues to be the most profound video game ever made.
Have you ever considered how none of them really know what's going to happen? Since we can rewind time in the game we know what happens if you let the moon hit, everyone dies. There is no fleeing. They don't even know majora is causing it. Let alone that the moon falling will destroy everything ( though judging by the anxiety they display they seem vaugely aware). That's why you will for example find the swordsmen behind his tapestry on night 3.... he is that scared he is hiding because he has no clue what to do. Once you realize that you realize they are both trying to rationalize their irrational reactions to something as catastrophic as the moon falling.
Guess that's the real tragedy. The workers don't grasp the gravity of the situation at all and would much rather stick to tradition. The soilders do grasp the gravity of the situation, but fail to realize that no matter what anyone does, whether it may be to evacuate or seek refuge elsewhere, everyone was gonna die regardless and all attempts to escape it are completely futile.
He is the best character in both games. You can really tell how angry he is in this scene. Guy is so stubborn in this he is the first one too be killed by the moon if it falls. Vs in OOT when his carpenter prance around an unfinished kakariko his sound is more maniacally laughter
I totally did not know that you can end the argument and after all of these years of playing that game.. Wow. Also wish people could take this quote here 1:33 and apply it to today's world.
the reward here feels very underwhelming especially when going through all that trouble just to get that mask and the worst part is that other than a heart piece, it does nothing.
Call me lame. But when I first entered that meeting room really displayed the atmosphere of the game. It really felt like it would never end. Seeing a resolution to that meeting was a powerful moment for me as a kid, and because that mask was used it had further symbolic meaning.
So to end the arguements with covid 19 vaccinated and the antivaxxers I just go to one of the protests stand in the middle of it all and hold up something or wear something reminiscent of a young couple getting married. Wish me luck everyone!
this scene hits different as an adult
Especially with our more recent global events.

One Side: Get vaccinated!
Other Side: Down with vaccines!
Carpenter:We should take Clock Town and (don’t) push it somewhere else!!!
Soldiers:That idea might be crazy enough...
*TO GET US ALL KILLED!!!*

everyone in termina: they’re gonna stop the moon!
Four giants: *grabs clock town and takes it somewhere else*
Man, sure is a good thing real people dont act like a obvious danger isnt actually real and take no safety measures
Yeah...it sure is...
Yeah, right?
And just like majoras mask the answer is the same.
Let people take whatever precautions they see fit.
@@superidot1 yes 1:33 really is the solution

You saved the mayor from a tedious meeting!

Dotour: Now this is the real deal!
2020 makes so much more sense watching this
Those co structuring workers scared the shit out of me as a kid. The way their mouths moved.
Y'know the world would be a much better place if the Couple's Mask were real.
Let's not bring my wife into this...

When I was younger playing this. I don't know why, but Mutoh's snarl used to make me laugh so hard.

I put on the mask as a joke, but I wasn't excepting this.
