Hello Dr. Shadee, I am a 72 year old woman who wishes to study the Quran. I am the woman who referred to herself as outcast. I do not feel this when I have a connection with God. How would I go about this? This has been a gentle nudge for some time. Thank you for your teachings.
Intercession thru our Prophets, Sahaba, Imams, Awliyah of Allaah, the Angels etc is all out of Allaah's grace, Allaah's mercy. The wisdom behind this is so as we spiritually grow, we stay connected to the Prophets, Sahabah, Imams, Awliyah of Allaah and the Angels etc while ultimately building our relationship with Allaah. Everything we recieve is ultimately from Allaah, but thru them. Destroys the branches of ego, arrogance etc while making us ever more humble. Staying connected to all spiritually while becoming a friend of Allaah and living as a friend of Allaah. ✨
@@AR-fb1nw the highest level a Muslim can ever attain is being a friend of Allaah. It should be the dream of all Muslim. From tafseer Ibn Kathir Surah 47 Muhammad that those who die as martyr's will able to intercede for 70 of ther family members. And Allahu aleum. And but of course, it's only by the will of Allah that a person can achieve the rank of a martyr. Killing yourself is forbidden in Islam and there is no sunni Khalifah. One has to understand the religion a lot and the situation or reality of the world before one should be taking up the sword in the cause of Allah. May Allah forgive me if this is bad advice or wrong to say in these times and may Allah protect people from wrong and bad actions. Killing without right or causing fitnahs, trials and tribulations are not good at all and we will be held accountable for our actions. Is forbidden to kill muslims, the innocent, noncombatants, etc. Jihad is for Allah, for establishing the salah, for the oppressed, etc. There were a lot of Sahaba that died as martyrs, yes, but a lot that didn't as well. The Prophet S.A.W. fought in battles but didn't die as a martyr. The sword of Allah Khalid R.A. didn't get to die as a martyr on the battlefield even though he wished for it. Abu Bakr R.A. didn't die as a martyr. Be cared of your Dua's and be pleased with the Qadr of Allah S.W.T.
@@SafinaSociety Thank you jazak Allah khair for the response, what's a good masnun du'a to make for them? Any attempt I've tried to move towards daw'ah, they've always shut down. I sometimes make a du'a along the lines of "Allahumma inni asa'aluka al-hidayah li ..." but this isn't masnun so I feel apprehensive about using something like this.
I think the premise of this video is incorrect. Interceding implies god like ability and is what causes ppl to worship shrines and ask for someone to make dua for them. Rather, the definition of interceding in Islam is different bc Allah holds sovereignty, and the Islamic definition places emphasis on the importance of relationships, and how if you have enough impact on a person that they have a soft spot for you, they will plead to Allah on that day when mothers will turn away from their children, and siblings will turn away from eachother and friends will act like they never met. To know that genuine care for someone can have an impact on that frightening day makes it all the more worthwhile to prioritize relationships as significant, even when challenging.
nothing implies god like ability, i don't know where you get this from. Every believer who asks for intercession from Prophet sallalahu alaihi wasallam or awliya Allah knows with certainty that it is only given/attained with permission of Allah Azzawajal.
@ intercession means to act on behalf of another. There is a distinct difference between the Islamic definition and the general definition bc action corresponds to ability in the general definition. In Islam, all ability belongs to Allah alone, and we simply have our will, our choice, and nothing more. So when the abd intercedes, we make our decision and implore to Allah on someone else’s behalf. The outcome and the action itself is credited to Allah alone. Everything it took to make the outcome is simply a pawn in the outcome, regardless of will. Now we can lift up the hood and see what mechanisms require the outcome and see that it took more than asking for something to happen, the point is the mechanism is the culmination of a happenstance, and again every outcome belongs to Allah alone, not us or any piece involved in the outcome, no matter how proficient one may appear. So while you may think that no Muslim thinks they or anything else has God like abilities, we very much put in effort that appears that we or others are proficient, and observationally it is true. The purpose of salah is to come back to the baseline throughout our day to remind ourselves that even though we or others may appear proficient, the outcome is always credited to Allah, no matter how intertwined and how many moving pieces it required for the outcome to manifest, or how confident we are in our or other’s ability. Our competence and proficiency is only Allah’s mercy when we make a choice, and nothing more. It’s easy to forget that in such an interdependent reality, and that’s what separates the Muslim from others. We are nothing more than entities that can make a choice and then witness the outcome that Allah puts before us. Sorry for the lengthy response.
@@mohammadnurfiqri2831 intercession outside of Tawhid absolutely can and does end up turning into a dog eat dog dichotomy, where everyone vies for the top dog position and others try to fit underneath the good graces of that top dog if they’re not competing for that top position. Not many Muslims today even realize that Allah is an exercise in existential objectivity. If you don’t remain objective, then yes, intercession very much turns into worship.

Agree with everything you said apart from using the word friend in reference to Allah
"Friends of Allah" like Awliyah maybe he means @@AR-fb1nw

subhanallah, how merciful is Allah to us. subhanallah.
Beautiful
If you have committed a major sin but repented, will you also see the physical in the punishment?
Salam Dr. Shadee, can we intercede for a relative who became an Atheist?
No as one must be a Muslim to be eligible to enter paradise with the will of Allāh
He answers that question, indirectly from at the 0:38 mark.
Salam alaykum
We should make dua for them while they are still alive

Poor salafis. They are denying themselves a lot of Hasanah and intercession of Sahaba and Awlia with their rigid stance.

Your initial premise is wrong. Intercession doesn't imply god like ability at all.
