Even as a Gunny, I'd go back and do it all again. Just because being called a Marine for the first time at the end of Boot, is the biggest rush and feeling in the world. Grabbing E7 was pretty dog'on frick'n close to it. Yutttt & Rahhh!
+getSomeKill _ A thanks is never needed but certainly appreciated. Keep in mind that Marines go to Boot Camp. The other branches go to Basic Training. Good luck to you and remember to sound off and practice the "This Recruit" and Aye Sir. Do your best to make either Squad Leader or The Guide. It will lead to a promotion at the end of Boot. Carry On
+JustaMarine33 great advice! That's what I hopefully receive guideto get ranked, I heard it's hard and have to be physically fit best out of your platoon ! I'll do my best !
+TheTurk56523 Go ahead and call the Commandant Private or Private Snowball, and see what happens. I guarantee you you'll get this sharpest knife hand there is and will no longer be called a Marine. Ever! Even if meant as a joke, it's not a good one.
No, it's tough, and you should be proud, but they have a great process in place that makes what should be pretty dangerous, fairly safe. They've been mastering the training of Marines for a couple hundred years. : ) Wish him luck for me and tell him I'm proud of him. Also, that he should track me down after graduation! Love to hear how it went.
This might help him some, as well: stanrmitchell.com/2014/10/07/so-youre-in-high-school-and-you-want-to-join-the-united-states-marine-corps/ And I was referring to Boot Camp graduation! You ought to try to go to it if you can. It's a pretty amazing experience. : )
+Darth Vader They did a study and figured out beyond scared straight essentially did nothing to the youth and just wasted money lol. Was more of entertainment
I was in 1965. PI. When l tell some of my buddies who were in the army back then, this is what we went through, they just don't believe me. And l tell them we were hit by the DI's, they say that I'm bs-ing them. I understand today they aren't allowed to hit recruits anymore and that's a good thing. Reason being, if you have to strike a recruit to make your point with your hand or foot, you failed as a Drill Instructor.
I want to do this I'm tired of being a loser in my life I'm tired of people thinking I'm a nobody, I'm tired of girls rejecting me, I want to be a Marine to better myself.
Is Parris Island too raw? I never see you put videos up from there. Its always San Diego. How about we visit the place where Marines were first born sometime?
synthrone its mainly cause most companies that do filming are LA/Hollywood based.... a 2 1/2 hour drive is alot better and cheaper then a 6 hour flight.
Haha This is my Company July 15 Grads 2016 India Company I wish I was in the video though I do remember the drill instructors by their names Sgt. Porter was one of my favorites
+Anthony Valadez Well, there was your first mistake, even mentioning a heart condition. That's an immediate red flag and as you've learned is an instant disqualification. If you still want to enlist, try again with the Army, and I'm not telling you to do this, but if I were, I would tell you to keep your hole shut when they ask about prior medical conditions. But I'm not telling you to do that.... Winkity wink wink.

I didn't know a human was capable of making this sort of sound

You can be the Commandant and still be called A PRIVATE SNOWBALL.
