we are soooo aligned - i work in the tea industry and love fragrances so i buy any and all scents with a tea note to see what feels the most real. chasing scents makes some of my favorite tea fragrances that smell really authentic
I think my favorite tea scent is Matcha Meditation, it 10000% does not smell like matcha to me BUT it does smell exactly like this Japanese Honey Jasmine bottled tea that I love.

Yep, what is wrong with my nose, I don't get tea in any of them. Granted, Sunday I don't know. The rest that you mentioned? Love them all, but no tea 😢
@@marielle7505 for me, the tea notes really come through when they mix with my chemistry. The first time I smelled Wulong Cha on paper, I primarily got citrus but when I tried it on… the perfect balance between citrus, tea, and a hint of florals.
Lavender Milk Tea by Elysian blows my mind every single time I smell it. One of my faves. So happy I jumped the gun on that blind buy. If anyone else is curious, it’s a compliment getter 100% of the time so far. Do it!
I love the way you describe perfumes. I have a sensitive nose, so many perfumes are nearly intolerable to me. But when you talk about them, I REALLY wish I could enjoy perfumes the way you do! It sounds so wonderful
Boy do I have some tea scents I enjoy that weren't mentioned. Atelier des Ors - Blue Madeline: Cinnamony milky chai Valentino - Born in Roma Green Extravaganza: Fresh bright jasmine tea Floraiku - One Umbrella for Two: This one I don't actually like that much, there's a bready note that doesn't mesh to my nose and it's really weird. Akro - Infuse: Really dry, bitter tea. BDK Parfums -Gris Charnel: Classic, bergamotty. Elizabeth Arden - Green Tea Nectarine Blossom: Delightful and affordable. J-Scent - Roasted Green Tea: Grassy and peanutty in a good way. L'Artisan Parfumeur - Tea for Two: Warm, spcied but not milky tea. Liz Claiborne - Curve Crush: Someone took Blanche bete and Mind Games Queening and made it cheaper and slightly more chai. LOE - Peach and Tea: Like the name suggests, peach and tea. Nest -Indigo: This one to me smells like a fresh herbal tea, maybe with some peppermint and such. Very fresh. Rag and Bone - Genmaicha. Slightly citrusy green tea. Sora Dora -YLOP: This one is very light and sweet. Vivamor Parfums - Tea Temptation: Very realistic earl grey and man, I love an ambrette note. Kerosene - Unknown Pleasures: Very sweet and citrusy, low on the tea note but it's still there.
Remember Me is so photorealistic; I love it and the perfumer Cecile Zakokian. I went on a quest last year and bought Wulong Cha X, Tea For Two, Hammersmith Tea & Biscuits, Earl Grey and Cucumber and Molecules 01+ Tea but Remember Me is miles the best.
Yes!! if anybody sees this comment, though it is a very feminine scent I would not consider it unisex even though I do love it. It’s a very girly tea scent.
Remember me has been on my wishlist for so long. I have some other teas I’ve been testing that I really like: memo winter palace and floraiku I am coming home and one umbrella for two. I do love wulong cha but you’re right it’s bold and very citrusy. I live in the heat and it’s great for my environment. I would think less great for Canada. I also really love gris charnel and kilian princess. So many fragrances so little time
“Nishane” is supposed to be pronounced without the -e, for it (weirdly) tries to mimic French orthography with the final -e preventing nasalisation of the -n (and yet, makes use of English orthography as ‹sh› for IPA [ʃ]). The word’s origin is reported as being from Turkish “nişan” (→ sign, mark, target, engagement-to-be-wedded, decoration).
Addendum: Come to think of it… Well, this is what I remember from researching the story of the perfume, but now that I actually think about it, “nişane” is also a word in Turkish. Both mean the same thing, though “nişane” is very much not in use anymore, and has a far more specific meaning of “symbol” - though, it means manifestation/sign in Classical Persian. Now I am a bit thrown. 😅
Still by Jennifer lopaz has been my go to tea scent since randomly discovering it. Wore it the entire time during a vacation to vietnam and now its so special to me. A french slightly sweet tea. Perfect
Also, thank you so much for talking about the clarification of the pronunciation of the word "Guerlain." My dad speaks French, but I don't, unfortunately. But I say Guerlain like "gair-lawn." I felt pretty good about that, until I went to a store in the mall last month. The salesman kept correcting me by saying "gair-LAIN." I just decided not to argue the point but I have been genuinely so confused about it lol
There’s so many vowels- at some point it’s not “right” versus wrong but a matter of accent and dialect. You will get corrected no matter what. It’s like “peecan” or “pecan”.
Tea fragrances are my absolute favourites!! You have to try (if you haven't already) Lepus (black tea + milk + lavender + bergamot) and Ethereal Wave (white + black tea, similar to Wulong Cha but more feminine)
This is perfect timing- i just got my first corporate/traditional office setting job and I'm in the market for a perfume to wear to the office every day, and tea notes are my favorite. So glad I found your channel, I can't wait to watch your earlier uploads too!
Tea is my favourite note as well. I think it’s coming from childhood as it reminds me of my mom. Speaking of whom - I have purchased two Dear Polly bottles for her already and need to buy the next one, the fragrance is her in a bottle
Lovely recommendations! I just wanted to point out there was a picture of Sunday (blue/green bottle) 12:01 when talking about Monday (purple bottle) by Arielle shoshana in case of any confusion!
Bianco latte is my n.1 perfume. Dear Polly is my n. 2. After that I'm genuinely torn, I have Princess, Remember me, Vanilla 28, Lune Feline, Lira, Gris Charnel, it's tea and vanilla mainly in my collection😂
I am a tea lover from the tip of head to the bottom of my feet! I want tea, matcha, mate flavored and scented everything! I purchased Bamboo Harmony and then found it was my weakest tea scent. I have always wanted to try Kilians imperial tea and NOW it’s back!!!
The Thai fragrance house Mith has a Thai tea fragrance that I’m waiting for cooler weather to enjoy properly! Another Thai fragrance house Proad has a tea line with 4 fragrances, green tea, black tea, red tea, and white tea! Some of their line based on alcoholic beverages was also very pleasing to my nose. I went down a rabbit hole ordering samples from both brands on glin dee fragrances since they ship these brands to the US, hopefully you can get your nose on some of them because I’d love to hear your thoughts!
I got so excited when you mentioned Sunday by Arielle Shoshana!! It definitely reminds me of rice pudding a little bit but I can't stop wearing it, it's delicious 🤤 "Yes I Do" by ELDO is kinda similar to my nose, but it's a little bit sweeter and more floral, with more lily of the valley notes
my favourite tea fragrance is "Thé pour un ete" by L'artisan Parfumeur, its discontinued and i got it through my dads collection, its a photorealistic jasmine green tea with lemon 😊💗
I love tea scents and normally recommendations are all the same. I love the variety in this video and am so interested in trying several you mentioned.
Tea Tonique by Miller Harris is incredible! It’s fresh, musky and intoxicating. I never comment on videos, but I really think you will adore this fragrance. Love your channel! 💕🍵
I love Angelique Noire, but never quite know how to explain what it smells like. The closest I can get to describing it is like honeysuckle-scented whipped cream.
I just discovered Remember Me in Jovoy last week and the first thing I thought about was Memo's Winter Palace. Like I feel they are SO similar, but Remember me is cozier, leaning more feminine while I'd say Winter Palace leans a bit masculine. It's spicier, the tea is also a bit different (red tea iirc). I really love both! I agree when it comes to le labo. Not a fan of their tea fragrance. For the rest I'm definitely a Wulong Cha type of person, X indeed feels more wearable on an every day basis with white florals. I don't really know if I like it better, I like both and it's rare to have a tea perfume that is so potent. Lastly I would also recommend 5'o clock au gingembre by Lutens. I don't necessarily smells the tea, but it definitely smells like tea time if that makes sense.
I love champaca by ormonde Jayne and Ylop by Sora Dora quite a lot! I am so into that powdery slightly sweetened tea scent. Also heard that oolong tea by one day is nice too!!!
Elizabeth Arden White Tea is a classic in my collection. The White Tea body cream is my favorite and one I always recommend that everyone own. My recommendation is Liis Ethereal Wave: Bergamot, Cardamom White Tea, Black Tea Absolute Blonde Woods, Velvet Musk.
I absolutely love The Yulong by Armani; it’s the best fragrance I’ve ever smelled. I also enjoy The Cachemire by Dior, which wasn’t mentioned in the video, but it’s a fantastic tea scent. It has a honeyed tea aroma with a hint of a bath salt vibe. Edit: I was organizing my perfume shelf and found a sample of Anti-Pop by TOBALI. I loved that one too!
omg im early! i love ur channel sm, i feel like sometimes people dont make it clear whats their personal taste + what the actual perfume is like and you strike that balance perfectly!
Remember Me is stunning. Gentle cardamom milk. So pretty. Feels like a super milky more gentle in contrast to Gris Charnel - that one feels like an almond milk chai sweetened with fig.
Tea Tonique by Miller Harris is probably one of my favorite tea fragrances, it's extremely tea centered rather than just a single tea top note like a lot of others I've seen. I love the mix of all the teas and it's not too bad performance wise. Just very very comforting.
Try Ethereal Wave from Liis!!! The bestttt earl grey tea scent. Was almost expecting to see it in your line up! Also, I've been waiting for you to do a tea perfumes video and you posted on my birthday of all days, so I'll say thank you for that :)
You have to try "je ne sais quoi" from teo cabanel, blue madeleine from atelier des ors, tea for two AND venenum 32 both from artisan parfumeur. And most importantly: chai from baruti.
My very first real department store perfume was Elizabeth Arden’s Green tea. I remember going into Robinsons May in the mid 90’s and my grandma buying me my first perfume. I was in the 5th grade and I thought I smelled so heavenly! That is when my tea flavor and scented obsession started!! Hahahaha
I love & adore The Vanille by Nette. It is so fresh and unique but just fresh and beautiful. Every time I wear it I get compliments and people ask me to send them a picture of the bottle. I want to gate keep, but I share the details. I’m on my 2nd bottle plus a travel size. I just can’t get enough. It’s so addictive.
Agree with you about Monday by Arielle Shoshanna- I get no milk in it. I actually do find it a little sweet but it is a gorgeous citrus earl grey and I bought it based on your prior video 😊 love it. I layer it with Fresh Cream by Philosophy.
The one tea perfume I own is Phyltre Ceylan from Atelier Cologne. It's such a lovely earl gray tea with an interesting...viscosity to it. There's like a heft to it lol. It's perfect for a cool or rainy day though I wear it truly whenever, it's so comforting.
Lothair by Penhaligon is by far my favorite tea fragrance. It’s a smidge figgy but smells like a London fog to me. The black tea scent is paired with a vanilla and musk that is captivating. You should try it if you can find it! It’s a hard one to track down. I got a decant on scent split ages ago. Also it’s Penhaligons so it’s pricy but just try it.
My fav video in a while cuz I love tea, it has a lot of memories and nostalgia to it :) also so true on this he never subbing to ppl for years despite watching them for heRs
do a candle review video!! especially fragrance brands that have released candles, or just ones with interesting, nuanced, complex scents etc, and at different, esp affordable price points! pleasee!
Looove the way you described Angélique Noire, it seems like those fragrances that make you feel safe 💗 I really want to sniff it, hope I can find it at the store!
Love the lineup! Thé Yulong is my quintessential tea fragrance, but other loves are Gris Charnel, Wulong Cha X, and surprisingly Back to Black by Kilian has prominent chamomile and honey notes 🍯 🌼 And I would be remiss not to mention my signature - Casa Blanca by House of Bo with white tea.
Love it Emma! But Remember Me smells so much like lemon to me. Like a sweet lemon fizzy drink! Maybe once I try on skin I'll get something else, I have a small decant on the way!
I love tea and I’ve always wanted to smell like a fresh brewed cup of oolong. This video made be bite the bullet on those One Day tea samples that I’ve been eyeing for the last month!
excited to have some new tea fragrances to add to my list while i'm searching for my perfect tea perfume! if anyone's looking for a few more to smell, i'm enjoying roasted green tea from j-scent and molecule 01 + black tea
I know I’m super late on this video, but I happen to be taking a French Diction class right now, and Guerlain would actually end with a brighter ‘e’ nasal vowel instead of a darker ‘a’ nasal vowel, so think of the word ‘bed’ and try to make it more nasal. It almost turns the vowel into an ‘a’, but not quite. Just had to share what I know! I love tea, and I had no idea tea based fragrances were a thing! Thanks for the video. :)
I agree the Le Labo The Noir isn't actually very tea-scented. It reminds me of a late family friend who always smoked a pipe, though, so I like it anyway. I just ordered Armani's The Yulong and I'm very excited to smell it! I have been searching for a tea scent like tea leaves, not like a cup of tea. I want something that smells like the Black Tea Corset Cream from Fresh, tbh, and I wish it wasn't so hard to find.
Oh I love the japanese Matcha KitKat 😊 my favorite tea fragrance is from Imaginary Authors - oh unknown. I recently got a full bottle for my birthday. Also Angelique Noire is absolutely great, but not in my budget right now, so I use Zara Vanilla Vibration as a scent which has some similarity. Thx for the video 🍵✨
You mentioned bamboo harmony, but what about Princess? It has a prominent matcha note in the opening, so I'm curious to see if you consider it more of a tea fragrance or more of a gourmand :)
we are soooo aligned - i work in the tea industry and love fragrances so i buy any and all scents with a tea note to see what feels the most real. chasing scents makes some of my favorite tea fragrances that smell really authentic
so true i work at a little tea shop and i want to smell like our earl grey de le creme so bad

I think my favorite tea scent is Matcha Meditation, it 10000% does not smell like matcha to me BUT it does smell exactly like this Japanese Honey Jasmine bottled tea that I love.

I want you to try Lush Turmeric Latte sooo badly! It’s a Christmas release, and it smells of spicy chai. I think you’ll love
My fav video in a while cuz I love tea, it has a lot of memories and nostalgia to it :) also so true on this he never subbing to ppl for years despite watching them for heRs
thank you so much for this list
You're welcome 😊 I LOOOOVE tea and will talk about it all day long hahaha
omg thank you for these recommendationsss 🤎🍎🍁🍂
i tried un ete and im in love!!!
Great video and recommendations! Thanks for making this. My fav tea scent is Liis Ethereal Wave 💟 it has both black tea and white tea notes!
do a candle review video!! especially fragrance brands that have released candles, or just ones with interesting, nuanced, complex scents etc, and at different, esp affordable price points! pleasee!
Looove the way you described Angélique Noire, it seems like those fragrances that make you feel safe 💗 I really want to sniff it, hope I can find it at the store!
Have you tried lush - turmeric latte? It’s super smoky yet vanilla-y ☺️
This video made be bite the bullet on those One Day tea samples that I’ve been eyeing for the last month!
excited to have some new tea fragrances to add to my list while i'm searching for my perfect tea perfume! if anyone's looking for a few more to smell, i'm enjoying roasted green tea from j-scent and molecule 01 + black tea
i was waiting for nest indigo the whole video i cant believe it's not on here :(
I completely forgot about this one 😅😅😅 i love it
I BATHE in indigo. It’s so good. If you like Indigo you’ll adore Bibbi’s Ghost of Tom, which is Indigo but all grown up.
I was hoping you would talk about Remember Me!! This was the first thing I thought of!
The House of Oud - The Time smells nice too
Regime the fleurs Little Flower and Nest Indigo ❤ Looove tea scents!
FINALLYY!!! THANK YOU EMMAAA💗 this is literally so perfect just before fall ;-;!!!
Gris Charnel for me❤
I got a sample of remember me when you first reviewed it and recently got a full sized bottle! I'm so excited to wear it this autumn. :)
Thanks!! I appreciate your insight, maybe I’ll sound more french next time:)
wu long cha is an extrait and so is wulong cha x. the x collection is supposed to be a reimagining of the perfumes/more intense.
