A new format I'm trying out where we explore an entire roll of film start to finish... Not just the best few frames.

I think this idea/format is really cool. I like the commentary, its interesting. Along with nice photos, its awesome to hear the stories behind each shot, what you were thinking or doing at the time, and i feel like stories like that that connect to the photo really adds to the photo’s value and aesthetic
Thanks so much!
Love this series. Looking forward to more.
Thanks Marcus! More coming soon!
This is really cool, love the format, nice to see all the shots not just the really awesome ones but also the not so awesome ones as well.
That was the plan. Glad the message is getting through :)
I like photos... and I enjoy your videos. Keep making them.
Thanks So much! Definitely gonna keep making them!
Good to see the whole roll and love that hotel interior.
Thanks! Can't wait to get back to that hotel!
This is dope, dude. Really enjoyable.I dig those logs dammed up. Rotary Beach, holy cow.
Love this series.
Thanks dude! Glad you enjoyed it
Love this format, look forward to more!
Thanks so much!
Love these pics, especially those of the hotel room :) Keep it up Joey!
Thanks so much!
I've stayed in a Prince Rupert hotel for 2 weeks once. These photos are reminiscent of my experience in PR. This was a great start to th new series! An inventive concept that keeps you shooting film. Interesting to see it combined with the thrift store cameras under $20. Well done!
Some beautiful pictures here!!
Thanks Chris!
It's beautiful up there. Love it.
Thanks, ya. Can't wait to go back!
Love the idea of this new series!
Thanks for hanging! Glad to have to here
Dude! Love it. Do more!!!!!!
I'm gonna! Stay tuned!
Great concept & I love the light leaks.
Thanks Adrian!
Ahhh I remember going to Diana Lake now! Seeing the dam was a good reminder. Cool series, nice to see an area I'm actually familiar with too.
This is kind of like sitting through a slide projector show of your vacation. I like it.
Thanks! I swear it will get better :) haha. I think when I get some guests on the show it'll really come into it's own
I like this but keep the “today in film” series too!
Of course! That's not going anywhere!
Greetings from Croatia! Great video and great idea for the series.
Please continue with this I like this very much!
That is cool, Joey. I love seeing what other people shoot with and how they used an emulsion.
It's different. Like the story behind the roll. Just like you get your roll back from vacation, and share the stories with family and friends at home!
yes! more!
Be patient! ;)
I like that new format.Greetings from Hungary!
Thanks so much Adam!
Those interior images of hotel are really interesting man.
Thanks! Ya it was a trip. I'm curious to see the rest of the rooms!
I like this idea A LOT. Would like to see results from different cameras in your stable. You had some good stuff in there.
Thanks for doing this one.
I love it. Great idea for another Series Joey. Funnily enough I was out running errands today was wearing the great T-shirt I got from you guys and someone actually recognized the Awesome Cameras logo on the shirt. Pretty cool to run into another viewer of you guys up here in the Sierras. Also my Portra 400 came in today so the fun is going to begin. I'm going to buy a scanner off my friend who wants to upgrade so I can finally scan my negatives, super pumped man. Good stuff all around today. Keep up the good stuff man. I'm rebooting my neglected second channel (not this one, this one's a hold out from high school ha ha.) and I'll be starting to make videos on the cameras I have, films I shoot and general creative things I do. -Shane
Sweet man! Lemme know when you get that channel running! And thanks again!
Will do! I'm in the middle of moving so it might be sometime next month have lots to do before then.
TIP for the next TWIF: ilford just released a mini doc about joe brook, legendary skate photografer!!
Hey Joey, thanks for the camera! I bought the Olympus one from you. I always love hearing stories behind photos, cool idea for a new video series.
Heck ya! Thanks alot!
Dead trees in the water looked like a great scene, and that hotel room... Second to last one was interesting. I'll have to look out for interior shapes. Nice series concept Joey! Love the set! 👊😜
Thanks so much! Ya, the interior definitely needed to be photographed...
Very sick my man! I would love to see George Muncey from Negative Feedback do a EP! Keep it up man!!
Thanks for another excellent video. You really hit the jackpot with those photos of that creepy hotel. It would be great if you could get some more but I'm afraid you would be in great danger if you ever returned there.
Haha, I'll take my chances going back to the hotel :)
love this, would like to see you redo this trip with Ektachrome film
That would be amazing!
Looooooooooooovw this!! Btw Joey, lets collab in a thrifting video!!
Heck yea! Hit me up! Might actually be up your way soon!
Those trees are probably going to be transported to a paper mill or a similar place via the river (they just stack a bunch of them together and drag them with a big boat or a ship as the trees just float on the water).
It could be so fun to pick a suscriber, and ask him to give a roll or to shoot a roll, like a challenge, and send to you the negatives or the files, all 36 pictures.
👌🏻
💪💪
Another good idea, Joey. You’re seriously on a roll... sorry😬
Haha thanks!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I’d like to suggest myself lol
I’d love to do this with a roll or 2
heck ya man!! would love to have you on! will keep you in mind once I get rolling on this series fully
This series sounds great, but in the future when shooting maybe take a little bit of broll to show the scene of what you are shooting, nothing to extreme, maybe just a quick clip panning around the scene to provide context
Yes! I was thinking about that while I was editing. I'll have to remember to shoot some b roll if I'm ever shooting something that might end up on this series. I'm also thinking of going over some rolls from past videos more in depth. I'd definitely have some b roll for those! Thanks for the feedback :)
can we suggest ourselves?
First! Hah. Now to watch the video
Ha! You're doing it backwards!
A good idea for the series but it would make more sense if you showed better pictures ...
The point of this is not to show "the best" photos. It's to show an entire roll, and show the process behind the work. There is alot to learn from "the other" photos. I could make a video with just my 3-4 favorite photos from the roll, but I don't think that would be very interesting for anyone.
