I had the Sony 200-600mm 5.6-6.3 G Lens, optical image quality is very good, but it is a big and heavy Lens, it is not very easy to handle and operate, it has stabilizer issue with Sony R-series cameras, so I sold it and got the excellent Sigma 500mm 5.6 DG DN OS Sports Lens, which is better in any which way, very compact and light weight, very easy to handle and operate, I can hike in the Nature for several hours, just carrying the 500mm in my hand withou problems, I can highy recommend the Sigma 500mm 5.6 DG DN OS Sports Lens.
That’s great to know, thank you for sharing your experiences. As I always say, it’s about finding what works for you and you’ve done just that. I tend to use this lens of a tripod or in short periods handheld and I enjoy it. So we’ve both found what we like! 👍 thanks for watching and giving your insights!
Hi I'm looking to by this lens now I have alpha a7mark 3 does it compatible with Sony a7 mark 3 with zoom range and performance or does it crop upto a certain range of zoom
Hi, the lens works with the A73. As both are full frame there is zero cropping. It works well with all of my full frame Sony cameras. You’re able to use the super35 mode to crop in further, so handy for extra reach in video mode. Like me you shouldn’t have any issues at all. Hope that helps!!
I am planning on purchasing this lens in the next couple of months...Great video....Cheers
Brilliant! Hopefully it does the job for you 👍 I’m very pleased with it so far!
The moon shot is splendid 😮
Thank you! 👍👍
Thanks. I am currently looking at this lens and the 100-400mm lens.
I really like the results with this lens. Quite specialised, but if you can get the use out of it, I fully recommend 😎👌
Brought me confidence buying this lens after watching your videos. Thanks 🎉
Great stuff, glad I could help! Hopefully you’ll enjoy shooting with it 🎉🎉
