    I don't own a Stark YET.. but am very impressed by a CEO and company that support and stand by their customers.

    I will happily pay a small monthly fee for continuous development and cellular service. Having support be able to "see" the bike remotely is priceless. Stark support is night and day better than KTM, and remote access helps support.

    Great interview. Anton seems a very considered and intelligent bloke and seems like he really undestands the off road bike industry and riders much better than some of the larger bike manufacturers. Personally, i have no issue with a small subscription to receive new updates etc this will be far less money than the pistons and valve work i have to do to my husky.

    they should make the battery easily swappable for the upcoming enduro bike being created, the ultra bee does that well and if stark implements this. its going to be a game changer with the amount of power it already has

    Your promotional videos never mentioned subscription model for the things the app was going to allow you to build for profiles. I bought under the understanding I would be able to set throttle, flywheel, inertia, and traction control without a fee monthly. It was stuck deep in reading on the site. 100% could have done a better job being clear what we were going to get in the app without fees.
    Using the data plan cost that you have to pay is a crutch. You could easily tied it to wifi and the app itself and pushed the updates to the bike via the phone, with no continual cost vtob the company.

    I am racing mine for the first time here in Australia this weekend, will be using the race mode in the app, competing in mx1 class.
    The genie is out of the bottle with this bike , my own reaction after a few weeks of owning it has surprised me .
    I am no longer interested in even riding my other bikes, I wasn't expecting that.
    Several friends have ridden my bike and were amazed by it ,proclaiming it to be the best bike they have ever ridden.
    The numbers of riders like myself who will switch over to the electric bike will grow rapidly I think..I am strictly motocross so range is no issue for me.
    If a significant number of riders make the switch it will cost the other manufacturers sales of their full size motocross bikes, then they will have to make a choice if they produce one themselves, but in doing so they will only rob themselves of even more sales of their combustion bikes.
    Also , it is common for a sportsman level motocross rider to update their bike every couple of years or even every year..serious racers on 250 f"s will often sell the bike at 30 hours rather than pour money into an engine rebuild.
    I for one cannot forsee any need to replace my varg with a new one for quite a few years , the electric motor is not a ticking time bomb like a combustion engine, especially a 4 stroke.
    I think a lot of riders will come to realise this and over time overall sales of full size motocross bikes will decline even further.
    Unless...unless the wide spread uptake of full size electric motocross bikes actually brings about an influx of riders entirely new to the sport because we might have more tracks to ride and closer to population centers and because the bikes are much easier to ride and safer in my opinion and because they are vastly cheaper and easier to maintain over their lifespan.
    Time will tell

    Range is concerning factor when street legal model arrives - I want to take my bike and ride to forest and back without a van or trailer - usually it’s about 200km in a day. And it’s mostly fast forest and gravel roads.

    • @enforcer-enduro
      @enforcer-enduro  5 месяцев назад

      200km is quite far from what current technology can offer, I think were at least 5-10 years from 200km on one charge.

      I have a bike that can do that range, a Zero DSR 16.6kWh, but it's 500lbs(225kg). Battery density needs to double from ~200Wh/kg closer to 500Wh/kg for a long range under 150kg bike.

    Paying a few dollars for software updates is totally worth it.
    People forget the crap you deal with via bikes like KTM. Remember the fueling issues of the 2018-2019 TPI? Guess what KTM left customers to fix that on their own, if you got lucky the dealer was smart enough to help you and load updated maps but ultimately you were out of luck on resolving the fueling issues that KTM refused to resolve. But guess what! KTM did resolve it in the 20-21 models!!! AND PREVIOUS MODEL OWNERS DIDNT GET THE FIX.
    I would have happily paid ktm a few dollars to have the ecu updated and not have to invest in a TSP reflash and head. But I did because I didnt want my $14k bike to not be competitive with carb bikes.

    Is Stark a bigger manufacturer than Surron?

    • @enforcer-enduro
      @enforcer-enduro  5 месяцев назад

      No I don't think so. Surron sells a lot of bikes, I think it will take a year or two before Stark is at that level. In terms of valuation and turnover it's a different thing, I think Stark will be the biggest "electric bike manufacturer" quite soon.

    • @kensthorne7060
      @kensthorne7060 5 месяцев назад

      But if you look at most of the dirt bike racers who have shown more interest in Stark Varg dirt bikes way over all other electric bikes then Stark Varg stands alone
