Hi Kris, This spring I am going to use your ideas to build my mill. Thanks for the simple looking ideas. Well done and definitely one of the best!!! Wish I had a little more detail on the raising and lowering of the saw.

I've seen alot of these on the youtube, but this seems like the best one so far. If you ever get to that second video with more details on the build, I'd love to see it. Ive been drawing up some plans so I can mill my own cedar for the fence's I build. Great work!

Nice! And like others have said, a few more details shown would be great! Especially the height adjustment, and the teflon glides! One of these days I'm going to get around to building my own, I'd like to copy yours!

There is a huge difference in speed when using regular crosscut sawchain and chain made or modified for ripping/sawmilling. Plus engine size, wood species, and log size plays a role in how fast a chainsaw can cut lumber.

Nice sawmilling! I was surprised how fast it cut.

A very nice design. Did you make the lower ladder frame track or was it from another product and just repurposed? Great job on your build .

Awesome mill, however do yourself a favour. Wear some ear defenders if you're gonna be at that for any length of time or your ears will be ringing for the rest of your life.
$20 bucks in at Princess Auto - I can't reverse the damage I've done but at least I'm not making it any worse.
