I hated trying to get the shanties. But I always liked them. Sometimes I'll sing them all day. Long after I've done playing ACBF. For months in fact. XD
They started singing this right after the prison mission and the dream sequence. It was just so perfect for the moment and how I was feeling, I was convinced it must have been scripted. Normally I would have messed around and blown up some boats on the way to the next mission, but given the circumstances it didn't seem appropriate. I used to take great joy in finding any old ship on the waves and would initiate battle, but that day was different. I found my self avoiding combat, climbing every building, sailing each part of the sea and feeling sad without knowing why. It hit me an hour after hitting the sea that I missed the struggle of learning different controls in the midst of a battle I was woefully unprepared for. I thought about restarting the story, a fresh file, but it didn't feel right so I deleted the file five minutes in.
