Thank you. I watched other videos on playing this game and they were pretty much shite. I was about to return this game to Amazon but now I think I could actually be fun to play.
Great looking game, just ordered a copy via Amazon; local game stores haven't caught wind yet. I felt the giant/elf combo stacks too quickly, it feels almost over powered, but I bet there are plenty of counter combos to balance it out.
Thanks Kyle! There are definitely a lot of potential high-powered combos that players can make in the game. The elf pairs well with many supernaturals to extend their effects.
i have a lot of questions that i struggled to answer myself ( english is not my native language and some phrases were not clear enough for me from the instructions, cards...etc). Sorry if the questions folllowing do not have an understanding association or they have already been answered. 1. lets say i have already played the werewolf and now that its my turn again i play the rune and i place another supernatural (the troll) so i create a combo of two supernaturals. Does the rune activate and the werewolve's power (if i am willing to activate it)? And if i dont place the troll as a combo and just play it individually , does the rune still activates the werewolf's power or any other supernatural from other combos of mine ? 2. Can i use the rune to activate two supernaturals already placed in front of me or two from my hands ? if i can do the second one, should i place them in a combo or individually each ? 3. If i place more than one supernatural , is it considered a combo and not playing a card ? if so, can i place a card and also place a combo of supernaturals in one turn ? 4. Can amulets prevent a supernatural's power to be activated ? 5. should you always ''activate'' a supernatural's power when played? 6. if i steal combos of supernaturals can i add them to an already placed combo of mine if possible ? 7. can i throw in the discard pile any card of mine even if i dont have more than seven cards ? the following question are focused on some supernaturals' powers 0. sorceress: ''Sacrifice a set of owls or crows to take any combo as your own "' Does it mean i have to throw at the discard pile my set of crows/owls placed and instead take one of my opponent's combos as mine? or can i take a combo from the discard pile ? 1. Boogeyman:''Exchange hands with another player" Does it mean to exchange the cards in our hands or exchange two of our combos ? or something else? 2. Nymph: ''take any supernatural card already played. play the cards effect" firstly when its says ''already played'' does it mean from mine or my oppenent's placed cards or even from the discard pile? and when saying ''play the cards effect'' i don't have an option and i have to use the card's effect immadietly ? 3.elf:''reactivate the power of any supernatural under your control this turn'' can i reactivate just mine or my opponent's as well supernatural or even from the discard pile? should these supernatural ( the one i want t activate) be placed individually or it can be inside a set? 4. is there a reason some cards of supernaturals imply '' may played immediately ''?
Really like this game. But I don't understand one rule: seems it's possible to play a supernatural combo of several cards , but when and how to play it? According to the rules I can play only one supernatural card at a time, but some video reviews show other players play the whole bunch of supernatural cards instead of their first turn (instead of drawing or stealing). Can you explain this part of the rules pls?
My family just got the game recently and decided to play but we're a bit confused on the rules. One of the supernaturals (I think the boogeyman) can be used to exchange hands. I consider that to be stealing even if they're giving you their hand in exchange, because you don't get to agree to it. Does the amulet block the exchange or is it fair game?
The original intention was that the exchange is more of a trade than a steal, so the amulet wouldn't block it in this case, even if it is a forced trade. I'm a believer in house rules though, so if you can get your group to agree with you, why not play it like that? Whatever's fun!

I have a question when using the Amazon card. If I use it on my opponents, are they required to show their hands to me just to be sure that they don't have the cards that I asked? If not, then the Amazon seems like a useless card since people can just lie about it everytime.
My problem with this game is that the fantasy theme is not important to the gameplay. The cards could be items on a fast food menu and be just as relevant.
Might be referring to the centaur race in the Harry Potter books. They're kind of a proud race (one of them thinks its a big disgrace to be ridden by a human on their back) and some look at humans as inferior species.

Love the game. The centuri card said that sometimes he can be racist. What does that mean? Seems like a misprint?
