Both of you have great ideas. But, remember, all EMPs are not created equally. The distribution of the energy will be dependent on the size of the EMP device. And I can tell you that as soon as that F-35 dropped that device, they turned quickly and went to afterburner. They'll pretty much use the same technique as they do for dropping a low yield nuke, and that's toss, turn and burn.
