Don't blame you! I first came to China in 2004, went back to Canada with my family for 5 years, and now have returned for good! What an amazing place! So good to see others like myself enjoying the changes and differences in China! Best place to live in my opinion! Thank you for sharing!
I spent more than 2 decades in search of the meaning of life and in my early 40's finally decided to just let life come to me. At the end of the day, I think it's all about how content you lived your life and how many happy memories you've collected. I think you are blessed in your life. Best wishes.
I have been following you for a number of years. Thank you for bringing us there. It’s been a wonderful journey watching you doing it so we wouldn’t have to. Thank you Stu. I look forward to many more years of your travels around China. From Singapore.
You are living your life to the fullest. This is extremely rare and so very inspiring to people who watch your videos. Thank you, for the great content and touching moments!
You're a wonderful singer, love that song you sang in that video, can't understand it but it sounds good. Lol. I look forward to seeing more of China thru your videos and hope you're still enjoying being there. The video when you were feeding the pigs was hilarious, they really look scary.
I was visiting an industrial museum in a European country, and they had a little building with replicas of the living conditions of *workers* from the 1880s to the 1980s or something. And I was looking at this room of the 1920s, and was thinking, an average Beijing urban family would live like this in about 1970 or later. It also said that by the 1960s, fridges and washing machines were common household items in this European country - fridges were somehow still fancy for a Beijing family in the 1980s. I grew up knowing that China is a developing country and our living standards are a bit lower. But living a rather comfortable life in a big city, I didn't really feel that until that moment at the museum. Once, we were SO behind - and it was not that long ago. ... There were loads of things that are not quite nice about China - and it's ok to talk about them. But there is no joke when an average family, especially those from smaller towns and rural places, can have such a HUGE rise in living standards over a few decades. And China is still developing - when public facilities are broken, they are fixed quickly (it sounds stupid but it does surprise me when I see broken things stay broken for ages in "developed" countries), the functioning ones are well-maintained, and new facilities and services are coming out on a daily basis. Although things are slowing down a bit, there is hope, and the people will never give up the hope and hardwork for a better life. ... The world really should see this. Not to boast or compare which is better. But just to know that there is "another" way of living, and the people themselves are happy with it. And also that in the end, we are all so similar. It really shouldn't be about the political vocabulary, it should be about just life. Live and let live
@@TravelinChina I believe even Chinese doesn’t know that much about actual China. It’s developing on starships’ speed. I saw many rural areas and variety of professions in a well crafted single video. Keep it up! 🙌
Wow! First time watching your video. What you have experienced in China is amazing. Best wishes to China. My parent left China in 1949. I hope to visit someday.
Love this video. If i was your parents, would say "proud" too cos you've tried so many things that i could only dream of. Keep up the great videos cos am def looking forward to seeing the next one.
I think this is one of your best videos to date! Very meaningful and interesting content! Can you explore more jobs in the agricultural sector? What can make these jobs more appealing/rewarding to the younger people seeking employment?
Fatastic video! I enjoy it, in fact, I love all video in your channel. Full of fun and also touching my heart. I can see more normal people life in China through your videos! Every job shown is a wonderful piece of great China. Thank you for document them in such a lovely way! Appreciate from Singapore!
U are so lucky to be an eyes to see and proof how this ancient, progressive and productive civilisation had once again risen up and started to take off in their achievement and adventures in the frontier.
I love your tshirt that says “looking backwards” when you were summarizing your last 15 years but “looking forward” when you turned around and commented about your future 15 years!
@@TravelinChina In Chinese people say “以前”(forward) to refer to the past while “以后”(backward) to refer to the future, and it’s interesting to compare this to English where “looking backwards” refer to the past and “looking forward” refer to the future. It's a very touching video for me. As a foreigner I've been living in england for 16 years, I had travelled most of the china since I was a kid with my parents, travel alone after I reached 18, then came to england and travel around Europe. I am fascinated by the history, food and people I've met. I can see the change of china from your lens, I'm glad I've been to those famous and non famous places before they were well developed, as not many people nowadays could experience going to a toilet being built above 2 parallel board behind a canvas in deep mountain. 😂 each of us is a witness of history, those highs and lows made our lives and made us grow. Sturt, have you found what you looking for?
By chance, I came across your video for the first time (and you’ve been around for a while!) and thoroughly enjoyed it. From now on, I will continue to watch for your videos. It’s interesting to know you’ve delved into every trade and vocation imaginable and had fun.
