I love how the sound opened up at around 14:58. Just have to wonder why it wasn't like that for the duration of the entire flight? I do love those screaming engines. American airlines just don't see flying in the same way anymore, and I remember when we got a full meal or at least a sandwich for our flight. That was when flying was still considered a luxury, but I still consider it a luxury. I remember when I flew with TWA, and they moved me to 1st Class when I had my Guide Dog, because they didn't have a bulkhead seat available for her and me. (We're required to use that seat, because it's closest to the slide exit, and there's an oxygen bottle for the Guide Dog should the cabin lose air pressure.

Power wise, yes. In fact the Rolls Royce RB 211 engines of the 757 can be configured to fit this aircraft.

I just have to ask if you really need the music? I know some people like it, but it takes away from the star of the show and the most beautiful music of all, the airplane! I noticed you were struggling with the mic there, but it seems like you got everything sorted out alright.
I've been totally blind all my life, and I miss flying, because I can't work right now for medical reasons. One of my dreams has been to fly aboard a Russian airliner, but this works out just fine. Yes, I'm typing this using software that converts text to speech, so I am able to correct my mistakes as I go along and/or after proofreading.
Anyway, thank you for the upload, and thanks for uploading this video.

I'm sure I would. I don't know if you go back to when the DC8 was one of the most widely used aircraft here, but that airplane was a gem! The older ones used to make a wherrring sound just before you would hear those engines starting up. It reminded me of some of the TU-134-a I think. It's the airplane that was made in the early 70s, and that wherrring sound was so exciting. I used to get so excited as a young girl whenever I'd hear those engines start. Ahh! If only I could get over there to Russia and hop aboard one of those planes, I'd do it in a heartbeat! I also hope you're going to make some more videos, because you do a good job. I hope you can keep the audio quality consistently stereo, because that's when it rocks! It's also better for our ears that way, because that closed-in monaural sound is much harder. It's so compacted that it sounds like the sound tries to get "shoved" between the headphones when you're listening to it. That's the only way I can describe it, and I've been listening to headphones and audio systems now since I was about 7 years old.
i dunno what it is about the TU104, i just think its such a cool look aircraft, like a mix of an airbus and a 757

The GoPro doesn't lend itself to that wide open stereo sound, I'm afraid, but if you use any external stereo mics, that helps. I'm aware that the GoPro puts out great video, but for a blind listener, I've always been at odds with the poor audio quality of all the GoPro products. I much prefer the Sony 163 or Panasonic audio quality much better. I know the GoPro is small, which is why so many people like it, but they really stink when it comes to audio quality.

WOOW!! Outside this TU-204 of REDWINGS looks like very stylish and new. BUT inside it,s old fashioned Russian/UDSSR-style. The seat-backs looks like so old and out-dated. Have you seated comfy inside the aircraft? To be true. At first when I saw the cabin, I was a little bit shocked.

757 , but 204 have longer maximum range, imagine in it up to 10 hours from Piter to Vladik
Tu-204 is smaller then 757, is like A320, but 6 tonn heavier

Ту-204 слишком тяжёлый, тяжелей А320 на 6 тонн и 737 на 10 тонн. Никакими креслами это не вытащить. А вот Суперджет имел шанс, но пока плохо продаётся, потому что чинуши не умеют продавать, только начальству жопы целовать да отмазки выдумывать как их везде не пускают. Бразильцев пускают, а их нет.

При том что самолет не так уж и стар, от салона тошнит, и якобы подсветка столика просто убивает, но нельзя что ли хоть как то над интерьером работать вечно что в машина что в самолетах салон полное г.
Dell Ton 1. мне кажется так цвет темно серый на раскраске на самолете и сиденья такие ужасно серые, 2. Где ты там видел подсветку на столике 3. По идеи это цвет авиакомпании.

it look like 1960's Boeing aircraft . and cant be compared to any Boeing aircraft because the russian passanger plains are famos in their bad reliability - thats why western companies never bought them - even when russia oferd them in very low prices
Western markets belong to western companies and they won't allow anyone into them. No matter what the planes are, what is their quality or price, they will use any excuse not to buy them.

The main problem of russian jets is not the reliability, which is equal to western crafts (otherwise they wouldn't be certified by IATA/ICAO and allowed to fly to western countries), the main problem is maintenance. A320 or B737 can be repaired in almost every airport in the world within a day or even hours, while malfunction of Tu-204 or IL-96 will lead to week-long waiting for spares, and an airline will suffer heavy financial losses. This problem was solved only for Sukhoi SSJ-100, and only due to wide usage of import parts from Snecma, Thales, Honeywell, Liebherr, Goodrich, etc. The creating of worldwide service network is far more difficult accomplishment than creating an aircraft itself.
Moreover, 90% of airlines lease the aircrafts instead of buying them, and leasing cost of Tu-204 is only 3% less than its classmate B757.
Ariel Ashkenazi if it renounce for its bad reliability only because that is what western propaganda says.. just so you know Boeing 737 reliability’s drop when It was continues lying in Russian environment or sub zero temperature while aircraft like tupolev still perform flawlessly. They are not as efficient as boing or Airbus that is true, simply because Russian build plane are design with more weight in their structure and robust fuel system so they can perform in subzero and dirty environment.
Western airport are design to follow their western build airplane while Russian airplane are design to follow their airport, just look at their main landing gear..these tupolev have double bogey main landing gear, to spread out the airplane load so it will be able to land at lower ground pressure thus did not damage the runway...and also give softer ride at bumpy runway..in western aircraft thinking this will be inefficient as it add unnecessary weight for the aircraft and wore weight equal to less efficient.
I would but I would order an Boeing 757 cabin doors.. and scrap those doors
