i think people in these comments aren’t realizing how the social links work. a lot of the interactions best outcomes are what the other person wants to hear, not what they need to hear or what you want to tell them (think kenji, encouraging him to pursue a married adult will bet the most points). for the im sorry choice, it’s more of her needing to hear something that calms her down in that moment. being told advice immediately after that situation is not a good choice

I think they overall toned down a lot of the aggressive side of characters. Junpei was the most notable for me, almost all his link episodes involve him saying "sorry for being a dick" and the moments themselves where he acts annoyed felt really short.
Uh, saying the "You're a girl" option *does* reverse her Social Link, though Not just her. If you choose to kiss Chihiro at Rank 5 of her link, it'll also reverse it
I really don't like the dub for this. I know some people don't like her yelling but that's what made her sound real to me. Sometimes people lash out unexpectedly in stressful situations. Also, it doesn't matter if you don't want to respond with "I'm sorry." The point of the Lovers Arcana is that you succumb to an UNCONDITIONAL relationship.
