Man I got goosebumps watching some of those plays... Russ was one of the reasons why I became a seahawks fan in the first place, it's so sad to see him go but I'm also happy for him

I have been a Russell Wilson fan ever since he was a rookie! My father, a big Seahawks fan since the 80's loved him. I can still recall how much he was filled with joy when Russ and The Legion of Boom won Super Bowl XLVIII. Thank you Russell Wilson.

That 13yd pass against the Rams for a TD was one of the greatest passes I have ever seen.

I am a Rams fan and remember watching that game. I was convinced it was caught out of bounds. No way it was complete. Then I saw the replay. Wow. Glad the Rams don't need to deal with him anymore. He's one of the best.

An amazing decade for Seahawks football. For at least the first half of that decade, I don't recall the Hawks ever being out of a game. The defense would tighten up when they need to and would put the ball in Russell's hands late in the 4th...it always seemed like we had a chance. As long as Russell had the ball last...it always seemed like we always had a chance. What more could you ask for?

Truly an end of an Era, I grew up and this team was my first true team I was actually watching and rooting for, got to witness a super bowl and so many ups and downs, truly grateful to have been able to watch this team.

A generational talent at QB. Even when they were down in games, you could never truly count the Seahawks out because they had DangerRuss helming the offense. Just a shame that as he came into his prime, the coaching staff never made the adjustments to allow him to find any success. And guess what Seattle fans, we're stuck with Pete's run-first offense for at least another 2 years as they build a new team before Carroll's retirement, but with his signature roster picks all over it.
I know Russ is expensive, and given the ludicrous extension offered to crybaby Rodgers, there's no way they would have been re-signing Wilson after next season. Better to send off the asset for all the picks they need to hit the reset button. But considering they've made the decision to build a new, young team, coached by the oldest coach in pro football is probably making it the least inspiring place to play, with a playbook that is ten years out of date. If we're truly cleaning house, waiving the likes of Bobby Wagner and trading away Russ, start from scratch with new coaches, too. The problem with the Seahawks never came from it's players, it came down to poor coaching decisions in key moments. Russ papered over a lot of Carroll's shortcomings, and we'll get to see that more prominently this season. I wish Russ nothing but success in Denver. Buckle in for the next era of pain, Seahawks fans. Lightning rarely strikes twice.
I totally agree with you, we need to reset head coacha and GM as well but owner doesn't know football so Pete control everything and he won't fire himself until retirement !

Russel Wilso deep ball is one of the best in NFL. His positive spirit is like a sun who never flame out. His charity for visiting hospital is unpair. Superbowl lost at one yard is haunting us forever since then the clash in locker room between coach/player and fans never get recovered. With Bobby also gone, it's an end of era and huge lost for Seattle, and we gonna rebuild but with same coach/GM who doesn't know how to draft and coach, it's gonna be painfull for many years to come. I honestly think Seahawk should get new coach and new GM to truly rebuild the franchise from scratch. Who agree with me ?

I honestly became a Seahawks fan because of my likeness to Russel, we are both mixed and I just found something in him different than other role models, I will root for the Broncos while he is there for sure. I hope they can reach the Super Bowl together.

I really believe, that with a very experienced quarterback like Wilson in Denvers possession, the Denver receiver’s will really be pushed and changed into amazing receivers under captain russell. @@matthewsadlowsky9477 Wilson hasn't been bad at all this year. Look at the stats its just bad defense and too many field goals instead of touchdowns. He's definitely shown improvement. He already has 13tds in less games than last year. Last year he had 16 total tds and his Qbr is higher this year. Definitely not Wilson's fault at all, he's been balling. Just bad play calling near the red zone causing so many field goals. If they figure out that issue, they would score at least 30ppg.

That last one... that game will forever be the pinnacle of games for Russell Wilson for me. He didn't play well overall, but just when he needed it, he made play after play and never gave up. That was the game where he burst into tears when they won. That's heart you cant replace. Most people forget how we got to the Superbowl that we lost. I just tell myself and others, we shouldn't have even been there in the first place.
Best play for me was that doug baldwin play one of the electric qb, don't let last year fool you he was regarded as a HOF before that

He could retire right now and he’d still be a hall of famer. One play that I think was snubbed was the 2 point conversion play in the NFC championship vs the Packers. That was a classic Wilson play that saved the game, Packers would’ve won on the field goal before OT if not for that.
