It really would have taken very few small good choices by very few to have prevented nightfall. May not have saved the republic since Sidious wanted to draw out the war and the clones while better then droids would have been so outmatched in numbers the republic would have lost had Sidious not tied the CIS hands behind their backs.
An even deeper meaning behind it is that Sir Christopher Lee came from a line of royal warriors who traditionally had curved hilts on their swords. His lightsaber lore just called his family tradition evil.
@@bwknowles98not really "royal warriors", being descended from the King of the Franks, The Holy Roman Emperor Charlemagne, whom was known to duel with a curved sabre, would make him Imperial rather than royal, and not warriors but rather nobility, since the ability to fight doesn't make one a warrior and Charlemagne's prowess with a blade stems from the practice of the times when Sovereigns still led their men into battle and were expected to be fighters themselves.
I think they designed it to make it more different than other bad guys in the films and stand out slightly by giving him a more lord/ noble sword like sabre to suit his character.
I checked what you said out and this is what Google came up with, ' Lee's own experience with swords, including his ancestor Emperor Charlemagne's curved saber, The curved hilt better suited Lee's combat style.'
Makes since, the sith had been gone for 1000 years. Some jedi fell to the dark side in that time but they were quickly dealt with, real saber to saber combat was extremely rare while blaster vs saber was common so training leaned to the common situation. Its also why some of the younger survivors of order 66 tend to be able to hold up in saber combat better then some old masters. I know people hate it but it is why a dark jedi partially trained by the Sith was able to wipe out a whole group of Jedi in the high republic era, they had no idea what they were doing. It would have been even faster had it been either of the two Sith at the time (Plagueis was not the master at that time, he was the apprentice, he wouldn't kill his master for decades after that)
Sir Christopher Lee also wanted a curved blade to complement his fencing techniques with the lightsaber 😆 and as a shoutout to his direct ancestor Charlemagne 👀 But Im glad we were given a lore reason 😆

He not felt to the dark side. He just join to Palpi with political reasons. He see what Qui'gon saw, coruption in the Order and want better tomorrow. I think Dooku is foreshadowing character for Grey Jedies after the Empire falls.
he did fall to the dark side. he killed people, tortured people, oppressed and stole money from hundreds if not thousands of civilizations, including his own people of sorreno, and became corrupt and self serving. even if his criticism of the politics of the republic and actions of the jedi were selfless at a time, he became self serving and tyrannical (darth tyranus). also grey jedi are not a thing, just more true or wise jedi
Not even true in the slightest. Hookup curved his saber because it is better for combat that way. If you can't see what the hilt does, you can't see where the blade is going. That is the only reason star wars gave us.
My dude. Dookus saber is the only one with that hook thing at the emitter. Jedi weapons don’t possess that. Only with sabers love useless designs like that. Cuz a saber slash at it and it’s gone. Also why use said blades when a saber does the job better. Thus useless.
I think that u hyped the video up too much 😢 I was looking forward to some secret story where he kills a Jedi with his lightsaber. Anyway, who else thinks that dooku could be vader?
He never really fell to the darkside. I mean he was never a real sith either. He was more politically focused during the war. He probably would have stayed in the old jedi order because of how they acted.
From learning about Star Wars lore, the Jedi fucking sucks 😂 at least when Luke brought it back, he made it to the point that it wasn't not only political but padawans/Jedis can show emotions and love
The dark side is a pathway to new lightsaber designs some consider to be...unnatural.
Is it possible to learn from this design?
@Fallzx_Night Not from a Jedi
@@ellacapozzi7749honestly very accurate, all Jedi sabers are just the generic ones while Sith has..Curved, Double Bladed, Gold hilt, Inquisitor, and Cross guard etc
Something Yoda would say.......🤔🤔👀👀👀
Dooku was such a good character like he turned to the dark side only because the Jedi did not believe that the Sith Lord was some where
Wasn't the death of Qui Gon also a factor of his turning to the dark side?
@ yes it was also
He was upset because he thought the Jedi were becoming corrupt politicians so he left and became a corrupt politician
@chrilpy lol ironic really
Jedi: Concerned
Also Jedi: Do nothing
That entirely sums up 70 of the reasons on how order 66/anakin joining the Dark Side managed to happen

@42backscratchpsapy86 source please? Which swords do they refer to that had curved hilts?

Yoda. Like banana hilts we do not.

It was sir Christian Lee's idea
Wait wasn't the hilt design with a curve to help Lee with his arthritis, it was made so not to apply so much pressure on the wrist.

That’s pretty cool rip to Christopher Lee tho😢
I think count Dooku’s beard looks fabulous 🤩✨
No, he just stepped on it one morning and tried to play it off.
I noticed each prequel movie introduced a cool Sith lightsaber design in their own movie.
I love how both anakin and dooku were obsessed with lightsaber combat
He really threw a curve ball at us with that design.
Dooku got that Galactic Drip 🥶🥶
Dooku likes the fancy lightsaber and different to other Jedi. 👍👍
Dooku was awesome, and he was right
Darkside is a pathway to be tue coolest character in comics
His saber and style are more for dueling than blaster blocking.
He still block blasters even with a curved tilt just not as effective though

It’s amazing how suspicious the jedi were of each other!!!
It's the best design because it encourages a more faithful dueling style to the original trilogy instead of the constant spinning around.
And also the actor was a relative of Charlemagne.
i wonder if the angled hilt made for slicing the sabers combo in different ways making it better for striking
"You see those Jedi from Coruscant? They've got curved lightsabers. Curved lightsabers." Whiterun Guard 4E 201
It is the Jedi Order’s refusal to evolve that produces its greatest enemies
Supposedly, the reason he designed his saber with a curved hilt was because it lended itself better to his preferred lightsaber combat form.
Also has to do with Christopher Lee personally as the king he is a descendant of (King Charlagmane) used a curved handled sword.
Sir Christopher Lee also wanted a curved blade to complement his fencing techniques with the lightsaber 😆 and as a shoutout to his direct ancestor Charlemagne 👀

It is not a good path to be obsessed to the dark side when you are a jedi....
OR
The Jedi’s fearful reaction and alienation of anyone “different” forced them down a path they may have never intended upon.
This is the lightsaber Grievous won't ever have
In addition, such curved hilt let Dooku attack from odd angles making it much harder for his opponents to predict and parry
Dooku liked them curvy.
Peyronie's saber. Had a flesh colored light 😅
The Jedi are like Ferrari. No alterations 😢
I think he only turned to the dark side to try and make the Jedi think about what they were becoming
Curved lightsaber is best for Form 2 users.
Why are curved hilts a dark side thing?
The hilt shape or design is not light nor dark side. It is how one uses their saber that makes it light or dark sided.
I had that light saber as a kid and it was easier to swing and twist...
