Cecil, Jean and Doug Carn did a gig in London recently . I hope they will do something on the east coast soon! The interview may still be available on Giles Peterson on BB6. according to Giles the gig was tight!

@Mr Blues,I appreciate what you wrote aside from telling me that "...you go ahead and believe that but, you'll find yourself alone on this one..." Correcting me, pulling my coat, is one thing, but that additional editorial comment was uneccessary and unwarranted my brother considering you do not know me. Peace & Blessings.

I just found out that this great musician, friend and human being has joined the ancestors. I had the extreme pleasure to have worked on this album with him in addition to him playing on a demo of mine back in 1982 at Rudy Van Gelder Studios. He was one of the greatest. He shared with m,e many life lessons. I will miss him.

@ Mr Blues. It indeed was actually cleared up in a couple of days. I communicated with Cecil, Cecil, Jr and Cecil's nephew. I just neglected to come back to this page to clear it up. I take full responsibility for that. I know Cecil personally. I worked on this album with him as you have read. The information at that time, based on the source, I thought was valid. I was wrong. There was no malice on my part. I was more than elated to know that my friend was indeed ok.

@jazman49 where did you hear that, That is not true. Cecil is alive and living on the east coast and still gigging.. My sources is as tight as you can get it... but you go ahead an believe that but, you'll find yourself alone on this one.... the sad part is I read this two months ago, I thought by now, surely you would have verified he's still alive. later& Peace out
