    Thank you very much for making those videos, love them! Even though I have serious trouble with "R", I will keep using your awesome videos.

    • @MakeLearningSimple

      Thanks for your support. There are actually more ways to pronounce the R. The way I pronounce it in the videos is the 'rolling R', like 'arriba!' in Spanish. But when the R is at the ending of the word you can also pronounce it as the R in the English word 'over'. However, if the R is not at the ending, it may be pronounced as the Dutch letter G, like in the word 'oog' (from lesson 1). I will decicate a new lesson to these differences in pronounciation! Stay tuned.

    well done! thanks! if you plan to continue it could be useful to indicate which words are "het" words

      Hi Belinda, thanks for the feedback. I will definitely continue, since the views and subscriptions are going so well. I have purposely not included the distinction between 'de' and 'het' words (yet!). My point of view is: if you have the basic words right, you can at least say basic stuff in Dutch and people will understand you. Later in the course we will move a level up!

      het zijn gewoon woorden, zoals jullie 'a' of 'an' hebben, maar bij ons komt er ook nog 'een' bij. Je moet deze woorden gewoon goed leren .. Je kan niet zeggen wanneer we 'de' of 'het' gebruiken ...
      These are just words, Like you guys have, 'a' or 'an', but we also have 'een' ... You just have to learn these .. you can't say when do we use the 'de' or 'het' ...

    So I've been trying to learn Dutch for over 4 months and have tried everything! Hope fully this works (i really stink at learning languages) do you have any tips?

    • @MakeLearningSimple
      @MakeLearningSimple  6 лет назад +3

      Hi Bella Bunny, the best way to learn a language is to
      1) learn the basics (common vocabulary, basic grammar) from us and similar teachers
      2) practice with someone who already speaks that language
      3) watch videos (movies) from that language, preferrably with subtitles in the same language
      4) not give up.

      I'm an Australian/ dutchie who learnt Dutch as a baby listening to my parents so i don't really know the grammar. but when i speak Dutch i just whatever sounds good (mind you i get a lot of shit from my family when i get it wrong). it all just comes with experience and slowly learning what goes with what. there's no real pattern.

      sure as you have something you heard when you were a kid.You are lucky. Imagine someone who has never heard any dutch but started to learn. That person can't rely on anything, that person needs to learn from the begining for every word and that includes de and het as well.
