Enjoyed this , Went to Spinalonga 2009 and have been going to Elounda every year ever since 2007 (Apart from 2021 due to covid) Married my lovely wife in Crete 2019 .Not been on Spinalonga since bought back some good memories .
1:33 this year would be the year to visit Spinalonga again as next year many changes are being made, the historical significance of the island leading to further restoration which of course requires further funding

Thanks for the kind words Kirsty. As summer comes to a close, I'm as eager as you to travel again. You can't go too far wrong with Crete and Cyprus - sun, culture and history in such an easily accessible location .... Assuming you can get flights 😉

Spinalonga now a big tourist offer. In 1990 only one boat to take you across and the place was a fallen down ruins. Such is progress. Love Elunda Bay.
We were lucky, there weren’t too many tourists about. I can imagine it would lose its charm if overrun by crowds.

Many of us gave up travelling, we’re only just getting used to the idea of climbing on a plane again. Happy travels for the future!
