  • Liz Truss is battling to convince both the markets and some of her own MPs that her economic plans add up.
    (Subscribe: bit.ly/C4_News_Subscribe)
At Prime Minister's questions she told MPs that there would be no public spending cuts. But a treasury minister also insisted that the chancellor won't reverse the tax cuts he announced just a month ago.
Tonight, a senior Conservative MP is reported to have accused Liz Truss of trashing the last 10 years of conservatism.

At the very least you can say that Sunak is a sane bloke. I also think it’s fair to say that he’s probably reasonably intelligent. Unlike the menagerie of delusional f*cking maniacs who make up the current front bench. I honestly think that Truss is dangerously thick. She’d be out of her depth as a middle manager in an SME. How the f*ck she’s in charge of country is beyond baffling.

At the end, the way she raised her eyes when Jacob Reese-Mogg was mentioned. So revealing! This is Gillian Tett who has written about the financial instruments that were part of the cause of the financial crisis that started in the fourth quarter of 2007, such as CDOs, credit default swaps, SIVs, conduits, and SPVs. She became renowned for her early warning that a financial crisis was looming. Not someone to dismiss.

Listen carefully to actually what was said, weasel words...
In response to Starmers question , is she PLANNING, ... slight but important difference,
Also, if a statement we all clearly heard later needs clarification, then the original statement was either false and/or misleading,
