Great to have you back! I hope Top Kogyo sees this and sends you some awesome stuff to show. They are highly underrated in my opinion. I love the interesting screwdrivers. Thanks for the great content.

Anex are crazy underated in the west. I came upon by complete chance their 397 Quick Ball Ratchet Screwdriver. And have been incredibly impressed, easily the best ratcheting screwdriver I own or have seen. Puts my Wera and PB Swiss to shame.

Hi Chris, good to see you back. I was in Japan again last month in November. I saw those Anex drivers in only one of the "big box" stores (out of all the ones I looked at) I had alreaedy over-bought on a bunch of other drivers, so thought it prudent to keep walking..........(Just like last year, I was already on the weight limit for luggage) I agree with you on the rubber handles & it did kinda turn me off. I did buy some other Anex drivers (screw & nut) I am quite happy with them. Best wishes for Christmas & the New Year to you.

You can get this handle as a bit holder too; unfortunately not strike through though. I'm hoping they rectify that and release wanidora bits so you can get the same performance in less space as these really aren't necessary every day.

A demo video with some damaged flat/Phillips jis screws would be great. Ive yet to see anyone actually demonstrate this tool to show how it actually cuts a new edge to grip onto.

Good to see you back. I dont have any of these but will check them out. I am looking for a ratcheting driver for Japanese 13mm driver bits.

Are you no longer residing in Japan? All the major screwdriver/bit manufacturers there offer one or more ratcheting bit drivers, ANEX included.

Also, yeah, I wouldn't use these on new coated screws. They look too sharp and could wear the coating.

Those little knobs on the end I live in the Northeast and gotten some of those probably Chinese made tools and what I found is when it's cold in the winter those things shred right off in your hands. But I suspect these are a little better than the Chinese ones I got from home Depot,. And then they follow you around everywhere. You see these little black nubs all over here at first you're like what is this and you like ah it's them screwdrivers

Vessel combi plus stubby is the closest thing I can find to that but you would be using the 1/4” shaft as the bolster

I'm looking at some wooden handles from Japan. Nepros. Not sure if you're heard of them but they look to be the best of them. I have some Vessel, PB Swiss Swiss grip .and Wera 4xs speed but gutless when it comes to tourqe. Always like learning of new Japanese manufacturers. Because they seem to make the best ones closely followed by Germany, and Swiss. I don't have much Faith in American made tools anymore.. especially next to the high-end Japanese and German tools which are a fraction of the cost of American. Big fan of Knipex too

Ktc has nice ones as well

    • @aussiehardwood6196

These are a specialty screwdriver for cammed out damaged screws, not to be used as everyday screwdriver. They are designed to cut into the screw to access more bite. As for Nepros screwdrivers being the 'best', I think they are beautifully made but functionally no better than much cheaper Vessel or Anex or Sunflag offerings.

@@aussiehardwood6196 and the Nepros are so pretty you don’t want to use them just admire them.

ANEX has a couple different wooden handle drivers. The No.180 series is their higher end version. www.anextool.co.jp/item/180-2-100/
