I choked when you explained about avoiding being too brave for the chilli..😆😂 haha! It's a good prevention against curling on the floor again😂.
The seafood meal 🐟 is truly a success for the first try 👍🏻👏🏻 and blue crabs are really sweet esp. if they're freshly caught. 🦀🦀🦀

When i saw you go for the trout i was like: GET THE GARLIC!!!!. You make a garlic dressing with 4-5 cloves of garlic, smashed. You add a bit of water, oil and salt and you make a garlic paste. You put that paste over the trout after you fry or grill it. Also, have it with polenta, it's just magnificent

Hey Smash! When you were at the market, I couldn't believe that you passed on the scallops! 🍚(I know it's a rice bowl emoji, but it looks like a scallop with the roe attached! 🤔 ) I know how much you like them. As you were filming all the seafood I kept saying, "Oh yeah, he's gonna get at least 4 scallops." But you resisted. I admire the adventurous eater in you for trying something different this time. Also, as you flung those trout bones over your shoulder I was waiting to hear someone walking by down below yell out, "Watch it!"🤣 Nice vid! Stay safe.

Braver man than me, used to love trying different foods but had a very bad experience eating catfish and was sick for a week, I now stick with what I know. Noticed no graffiti on your fort visit which in this day and age is incredible, but the bit I loved the best is the shop with everything nicely laid out and a huge variety of fish/shellfish on offer (beats supermarkets in G.B. hands down). As always great video thanks for posting.

Jay mate, rainbow trout, cut it in slices and fry it in butter, then sandwich it between bread and butter, yum.
Trout is the same family as salmon, when you buy tinned salmon from the shops you have a choice of pink or red salmon, red is salmon and pink is trout, and the bones and skin in the tin is yummy, so is the juice. Buy a tin of John West pink salmon and eat everything in the tin on bread and butter, I like it on white bread best.
Blue swimmer crabs are here in Australia and we always cook them.

Here in the Appalachian mountains of north carolina rainbow trout or speckled or brook trout are the most common fish in our creeks and rivers and i love them, one of my all time favorite fish is trout, breaded and fried in a cast iron skillet, just watch the bones, you can get choked on trout bones but they are easy to avoid. They stock our cold water river here with rainbow trout. We also get cutthroat and brook trout, but not in the quantity they stock rainbow. We get a lot of bass and perch in our lakes, but I prefer rainbow trout over all of them. No fresh water crabs in these parts. Gotta drive down to Louisiana to get crabs fresh. You make me to hungry watching you eat spider crab and lobster. We have to drive several hundreds of mile for fresh lobster and/or crab. Please do more of these.

  • @paulman246
    @paulman246 4 года назад

We have salmon and trout on the west coast of Canada. The trout are directly related to salmon here, the difference being, the trout stay in fresh water, and the salmon are born and live in fresh water for about a year, then migrate to the ocean for their adult life. The adults return to the exact spot where they were born to spawn. Trout live and breed in fresh water. We have an oddity, the Steelhead Salmon, as adults they can live in fresh water and or move to the sea. My favourite on the west coast is Wild Pacific Sockeye Salmon, very oily, and dark red meat.

Those are flower crabs. Very popular in the Southeast Asia. Boil them, steam them cook them like you usually cook crabs and they are niceeee

You have to try Maryland Steamed Blue Crabs from the Chesapeake Bay. We pay upwards of $200/bushel for them and they're worth it!!!

You should try making arainbow trout mousse.
Just add cream cheese pinch of fresh chilli and garlic squeeze of lime and blitz. You can freeze it aswel. Tastes amazing on a nice piece of bread.

That blue swimmer crab is absolutely stunning eating crab as u said very much like the spider crab so so sweet I eat them when I go out to turkey think I pay about £2.30 for one out ther and the trout is very much like salmon but all depends if its fresh or farmed you get a diffrent taste to the meat

Thoroughly enjoyable as ever mate, could watch your videos all day 👍 I see you think the Rainbow Trout and Salmon taste the same, IMO that’s because they are both mostly farmed, if you ever get the chance to fish in Scotland and are lucky enough to fish one of the Salmon rivers, you notice a huge difference in flavour with the Salmon in particular, nothing beats the taste of a freshly caught Spring Salmon, caught on the fly and cooked on the river bank. Something I dearly miss 👍

You should try our Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs sometime! Absolutely delicious!
FYI, most all bought rainbow trout is farm raised so it will have a softer texture and not be super firm. Wild Trout and even farm raised that has been stocked in streams and such for a while have more firm meat and taste even better yet!

Hi, Jay! Thanks for the tour of the fort and bunkers. I am very interested in WWII since my Dad served in the Army. He is a combat veteran. I have read many books and have seen more WWII films than I can count. Are the blue swimming crabs like the blue claw crabs we catch off of Long Island? You are quite the seafood chef! Be well!🦀🦪🌶🧄🍋
