If I had crabs and shrimp I would be making a gumbo but that's just the way we roll in south Mississippi.

Always fun to find a new vid in the feed. This one is no exception! Steve looked quite comfortable out there with you. Here's a tip for lighting the BBQ...always carry a bag of crisps or fritos with you! They light well and burn like a candle. I use them all the time when lighting campfires! Taught it in scouting as well. Thanks for the video!

Definitely les , we get spoilt with lobsters a lot of the time but was nice to eat something else

The BBQ fuel your using doesn't give off a flame, when it's lit it will take 45min and it will change colour to cream. It is now ready for cooking

Bit late in commenting, on Holiday in Devon, Internet bit up and down.
That was a mega Foraging trip Jay, Steve must have been a Boy Scout, always come prepared.
I don’t care what top Restaurant anywhere would not put out a plate of food like that, those Ladycrabs & prawns looked absolutely delicious.

If you put the crabs claws together, they will pinch their own claws and it's easy for you to handle them. I saw this on a different video.

Just a recommendation for you next time you steam crab,lobster or clams add a bottle of your favorite beer to it. By the way this is great with any kind of shellfish. Keep up the great videos

SUPPER AT SUNRISE. Eerily quiet out there tonight. As autumn approaches, with Autumn equinox just occurring, are the bigger lobsters heading out to deeper waters? Is that why you can only find smaller ones?
Yes the bigger lobsters do move out to deeper water but usally there’s one or 2 round , thanks for watching
@@SMASHFISHINGON YT there's a documentary solely on Larry & Loretta lobsters, I can't remember if I've watched it or not. That or some other YT marine channel I found out how lobsters migrate deeper in the autumn & winter. What r u going to do; use a boat & travel further out with the lobster pots?

I caught a monster velvet one day it was huge for a velvet i really wanted to try it but as I only had the 1 i didn't think it was worth killing as the meat wouldn't have been a full meal but after watching this i really want to try it now 🙄
Those shrimp you say are huge are about the size of our little Bay shrimp in Washington we wouldn't even keep those they would be too small
