I am sure this is frustrating, but this is a huge disaster. People have to understand that this is an enormous undertaking to try and coordinate all of this. Finding people who are hurt and in need of rescue should be concern number one.
Either open it to residents and keep it open, or don't open it at all. You cannot keep going back and forth, it is unfair to those trying to get to their properties. I know the frustration, had the same problem keeping back to south Florida after Andrew.
They have to make it safe first. They explained that on the Press Conferences.

Its like a war zone. I feel so bad for those people. It will take years for the cleanup. Insurance companys are going bankrupt.
