i dont know how u do that, coz i am trying to cut 3mm basswood with 150/95 and barely going to cut it.... sometimes yes sometimes not, sometimes 1 side is ok, other side is not... i levelled the wood, on honeycomb plate...
I bought a 65L per minute pump off Amazon for $35. It is 35 watt model. Since the video I have more experience testing this. The issue with running the air through the laser module is there is restriction. You can test this by connecting the 1/4 tubing to it and trying to blow through module with your mouth. Then disconnect the tube and blow through it and you can feel the the difference. With my pump I definitely get better results with the external air tube i have added. I been using it for month now and it works good. I will eventually do an update video and on my setup when I get some time!
Early testing it definitely does. I am telling you it is definitely better than the stock air assist. I need to run it for a bit as I curious about dust build up on the lens. I feel it will be better in my opinion but I will need to test it and see what how it performs. I ordered some metal aluminum tubes on Amazon for like 5 bucks which I will bend and and use.. I think they come tomorrow. That will be in a future vid
Those cuts look terrific!!! What type of wood are you using? I just got my LM3 and I mostly love it! HOWEVER.....I cannot cut through anything thicker than 1.5 - 2mm basswood. My thicker attempts (3 - 4 mm) result in scoring, charring, and burning. I am messaging with an ORTUR rep and she asked me to make a video so I did. She has already stated that the LM3 can only cut through basswood and only in multiple passes beyond the thin wood, so I'm not sure I will get the answers I'm looking for from her. If you have any suggestions as to how I can achieve the same results as you, I would certainly appreciate it. THANKS! Here's my video. It's short. ruclips.net/video/BV_QXLH2Qjg/видео.html
I am cutting 3mm to 5mm plywood that I purchased from Home Depot.. I watched your video and that wood looks thicker to me? If you are cutting anything you need to raise the wood off the surface. There needs to be an air gap underneath it. Also the air assist will help especially with the charring. Let me ask you what type of wood is that and where did you buy it?
@@therufflifeinc Thanks for getting back to me. I did add a grate for cutting and I have been using air assist. The wood is from Home Depot and Lowes and I'm not sure what type it is. I have several types ranging from 3 - 5mm or about 1/8th inch. Ortur is sending a new laser. They had me try several different things and it is off-center, so hopefully, that will help. It can cut through the thicker (3-5mm) but there is so much charring, it doesn't look nice. It does a nice job on basswood (2mm) - 400 90% 1 pass. I occasionally have to cut through 1 or 2 sections - maybe a hard spot in the wood. Thanks! Love your designs!

I'm curious. Is that plywood or some type of fiber board?
I was under the impression the default air assist was a good setup, especially compared to XTool. What cfm is the pump?

Here is a video I found where he did more testing but I agree with him on the results.. ruclips.net/video/ovWAi-p0_G0/видео.html&
