    I have Q667 ADP flashed on the radio but it’s blacked out like in this video when setting up a personality in ASTRO? How do enable it so that I am able to use the drop down menu?

    It will keep most people out, definitely weak but also a nice gotcha if someone did break the code since its a straight up felony if someone broke the code and started listening

    I have two XTS5000 set up identically with 8 keys in the multi key list. If I select the same channel on both, and then on radio 1 select key 4 and radio 2 select key 2, and then transmit on radio 1, radio 2 switches to key 4 for rx and tx. I guess there must be a setting that allows this to happen but I cannot find it. In the Conventional Personality being use I have it set to select, not strapped.

      If the key ID and correct key are in your list the radio will steer to it.

    How do you extract the key from a UCM module?

      @johnkeo358 Год назад +1

      You can't, it's a security feature

    How would a computer be able to find the key from a raw signal?

    • @chrismuntean
      @chrismuntean 3 месяца назад

      It might be possible to brute force it by trying every possible key

      You mean like using boatbod op25 and capturing some raw frames with -v 10 verbosity then xor the ciphertext with known plaintext to get a keystream?
      Then write an rc4 program , and guess the 10char key with known MI appended?
      Is that possible??

      @@rfi-cryptolab4251Most probably, but there’s no point- there will always be people one step ahead, if you really want to listen just visit the station and ask if you could stay in supervision with a radio (assuming it’s not police or federal your interest is)
