@whatevereyewant well he's a much better singer now compared to the early years. Watch some live performances compared to the first few years they were together and it's evident. I feel like he's lost too much weight in recent years so I can understand the appearance remark.
His technique is better definitely, but I do think it is at the cost of some of the darkness and interesting tone in his voice. But I get it, I sing too and if you want to last a long time you need to take care of your instrument.
Well, Brandon was really young back then, and after Hot Fuss, Brandon kept changing his look: Sam's Town (rugged, mustache western look), Day & Age (clean cut with the feathers jacket), and Battleborn (slicked back with the leather jacket), and in 2015 with his 2nd solo album, he had longer wavy styled hair (his best look, imo), lol. His look has stayed the same over the past 6 years though. He's also lost a lot of weight- he's very lean. He doesn't sing in lower keys that much like he did on the first album though either, but his voice is still quite strong.
