The Gamble's quail will respond to the valley call because they actually breed with each other they will actually covey up with each other I'm down here in Socal and we actually have hybrid birds a mix between valley and Gamble's

Valley quail...California quail...same call/ similar bird. Where I go we have the mountain quail also. Bigger bird, totally different calls👍🏻
I currently have the CJ call and really like it, definitely going to have to get me a 3 n 1 from Jim Matthews.
You'll love the Jim Matthews call! An especially useful call, especially if you live or hunt in areas of Southern California where all three species of quail overlap!

do you have anything that resembles the exact tone and pitch of gambel quails?
There is a guy that sells them on Ebay made from wood they are great sounding (Quail Call) The guy is in Bend OR

The second call had my dogs ears a perkin’ also if you bite slightly on the primos call you can adjust the pitch.

I have several of the old Lohman 115 walnut. The best. I've had California quail come running toward me. Wonder what I said?

Could you use these for southeast US?
For Bobwhite? There are specific whistles and cadences that Bobwhite Quail do. This specific call would probably not work well. There are calls out there specifically for Bob White Quail calling, however, I am not familiar with hunting Bobwhite Quail.
