Thanks for watching and commenting! We took the bowl off and checked needle/seat. It was surprisingly clean. It turned out to be the inlet into the carb; we changed that and no leaks! Stator is not working now, that will end up being a video soon!
You are exactly right, that was the issue. I didn't film putting that in, I would have filled up my cuss jar! We have had a few other things done at the shop because my son didn't want to do it ourselves, he wanted it done NOW! Stator and had the exhaust welded. It is running really nice now!

IF THAT FUEL INLET IS ONE OF THOSE PLASTIC ONES, GET RID OF IT AND GET THE BRASS ONE. THEY ARE ABOUT 10.00.
