    Reefer gang here.. but listen to this man its really where u live & run..if yall into that OTR bs then run reefer bc you can still pull van freight too..if you like running OTR & like miles & live off that dumb crap if the wheels arent turning ure not making money & stay consistent get a dry van..dry Van's are cheaper & less breakdowns..but REEFER gang u can always make good money tho..u gotta know what you're hauling when pulling dry freight & make sure you tell the broker that you have a reefer..hes right 3 pallets 200miles $1300..$800 6pallets 60 miles..$1000 10miles candy load..dry van loads have long wait times too..I pull dry loads & they still take long ass times too. stay blessed...

    I did reefer for 2months and switched to dry van. Reefer requires alot of time in the docks vs dry van where you drop and go getting more miles in

    Very good information but 1 thing is the more specialized your trailer the more it pays example an RGN makes a fun ton more than a dry box I know it’s comparing apples and oranges but it’s a concept I try to keep in mind

    HT, it's 2023.... would you still buy a reefer in this market or a Dry van?

    • @HTlogistics87
      @HTlogistics87  Год назад

      I would still buy a reefer because the rates on the reefer is not different and you can still run dry loads around March to July is your peak on reefer then you got holidays but it's always the fuel that we're up against but I would still run reefer

    My opinion! Reefer trailer means grocery warehouse and grocery warehouses are a pain in the a**. Delays, To much attitude and a complete disrespect for drivers. I'll go with a 53' swinging door spread axel dry van all day long.

    • @HTlogistics87
      @HTlogistics87  3 года назад +3

      Dry van can be easier just depends on where you live and if you take certain lanes on reefer thanks for watching

    My dad loved hauling refrigerated freight. Especially the Florida to Cali runs. What I noticed traveling with my dad when he was alive was dealing with the dry freight was very easy and refrigerated freight was a little more cumbersome.

    • @HTlogistics87
      @HTlogistics87  5 лет назад +4

      Yup because sometimes delivering that reefer freight can take forever because it's hard to unload with thos lumpers

    Good morning Bra
    Question for you
    I’m getting my authority right and I trying to figure out the correct way to let the insurance agent know what I’m hauling . For instance I have a refer and I’m hauling refrigerated goods . I know I’m not hauling hazmat loads and I don’t need that coverage but do I need coverage for house hold goods cause I will be using the trailer for dry van as well.. I’m just not sure what coverage I need because I heard that they run your coverages up if u say the wrong thing .
