Thanks for this super helpful video. RUclips University! I just cleaned out the foam on my 1999 911. The whole project took about 4-5 hours. I found it really helpful to turn on the defrost mode with the fan on high to blow out the foam pieces periodically.
LOL that's super interesting. I found it when I was fishing with my son, it was just laying on the ground in the woods 5 minutes from the fishing spot. I didn't use it in this project. So, I'll put it in his fishing tackle box now.
This method doesn't work for the 987, they have a completely different dash assembly. You will need to go through the heater core in the frunk to fix this problem on a 987
This is an improper method of repair. The proper method goes in from the cowling through the heater core. Allowing one blend door to be removed and better access to cleaning out the larger a/c unit.
