I guess it costs somewhat to have this hobby, but it's hardly a fortune, since you have nothing more than a cloth, some lines, a small motor and a propeller. More than $ 10,000.- it cannot cost. For any person having a normal job and no debts, this amount is fairly reachable.

Hey I bought your gilder two years ago I enjoyed it very much. I fly a lot and I am amazed every time its high safety level with its best performance. This gilder taught me a lot and I'm glad I bought it especially starting out. Absolutely perfect for beginners is very safe and very easy to operate

Yes, this is one of the most inspiring and really beautiful cuts of life that I have seen lately. The landscape and simply breathtaking footage, I really love this. It would not have been possible even ten years ago, and now it really is an adventure for all of us, thank you soo much.
Great film and thank you for sharing this. You reminded me of something that I had forgotten. While hangliding will always be the ultimate form of flying for me, it does have it's limitations and there are some places I cannot travel. I may have been able to follow along the lost coast but would have needed to be much higher to find the thermals needed to keep me in flight. Paramotoring, like the man says, gives people the option to fly lower and go places where other modes of flight may not work. And this is why paramotoring, air trikes, and hang gliding all complement each other. And it's also why I will eventually learn how to paramotor. Alas, there are no schools in the area where I live, which surprises most people. But, I do have access to California where we have great air trike, hang gliding, and paramotor training. So thanks for this video and for reminding us there there is so much beauty to mother earth that we are missing.
So glad you have tasted flight! Any type of personal aviation is a life-changing experience - that's for sure! Paramotors are becoming the fastest growing form of flight due to safety, cost, portability, and being able to fly just about anywhere. It will be a GREAT complement to the flying you already do. It's ALL about the flying ;) Enjoy your week and please let us know if you have any questions about our Paramotors. We're always here to help! -Rob W. Tremendous all the the way around fellas. Gorgeous video, beautiful scenery, excellent editing & production and wonderful story telling. I absolutely can't wait to fly.
perfect gilder I really liked the shape of it is built more like a wing is flat and gently pressing on the gas causes it to lift and you dont need a big engine to enjoy with this glider. Most reeflex gilders you should also a powerful engine that lift very low and you need a lot of power. Conclusion gilder accomplished with very high performance and excellent braking system and very easy landings

I hiked the 43 miles to shelter cove with my sister her fiance and some people they met on the AT. They got married on the beach there! The LCT is by far the best trail I have ever seen or may ever see! But trust me when someone says they like long walks on the beach...they're lying, long walks on the beach are strenuous; short walks on the beach are amazing though.
Thanks for the great comment and for sharing Isaac! That area of Northern California has some of the most incredible beaches I've ever been to in my life. Great video. I have been flying this area for years and there are several good ridge soaring sites as well as training sites along this stretch of the coast line. We fly the coast from Klamath River Airport to Table bluff with some regularity. Next time you are in Humboldt you should contact one of the four paragliding and paramotoring instructors in the area and we can give you the info on our sites.
Excellent flight! I've been looking over California coastal airports available to PPG and PPCs and Shelter Cove is awesome. What kind of air speed do you guys have?
How did you get the footage so smooth? Do you have clever camera harnesses or is it all done with software in the edit? Best video I've watched for ages. Nice work.

EXTREMELY rare... Most of the time, the wing will re-inflate before the Pilot even notices they had a collapse. The gliders stay extremely pressurized internally, so when one side has a collapse, the pressure to "push it back out" increases and they usually just fix themselves! It's really great. We have many students or Pilots who will initiate collapses on purpose to experience recovery techniques (over a body of water, with a reserve chute and flotation device of course). These gliders WANT to fly and are quite resistant to collapses - especially our beginner gliders =) Great question! If you have any more, give us a call anytime. BlackHawk Paramotor begginer here.. how about thermals? Are they a hazard at low altitudes? I heard that some times of the day they could be pretty dangerous. Are they more frequent in the desert areas? Ultimately I want to fly over Nevada and Utah deserts, lakes and canyons . Im also a pilot and I think I would enjoy this sport.. looks fascinating
Hi Carl! Welcome to the sport! If you live in an area with thermals, we have the Velocity Elektra - which was designed as both a Paramotor wing and an amazing "free flight" or Paragliding wing (which means you could fly without the motor). The gliders are very forgiving, but realistically - they have their limits. Most people fly very early in the morning or close to sunset to take advantage of the smoothest air. You might also have to consider flying early or driving to a less windy site if needed. Altitude can be your friend in this sport. Most people fly low, however, for a reserve parachute to be effective, you have to be up at least 100 feet or more... Deploying a reserve is EXTREMELY rare in this sport. It's like the airbag in a car. You will probably never use it, but it's there if you need. That being said, if you stay above a respective altitude, you could easily deploy a reserve in an emergency. We have people who fly EVERYWHERE in the US. It really comes down to the scenery you like and time of day (with wind conditions). Nevada and Utah has some mind-blowing places to fly! Both are very popular states where people fly. If you fly over water, you will want some kind of flotation device to protect yourself and your investment. This sport is life-changing! When you have time, give us a call so we can start a conversation and answer any questions you still may have. BLUE SKIES!! =) Rob W. Lol! We actually fly with these flotation devices that will automatically inflate if they sense water. It's a really neat setup - they are called "Power Floats" if you want to check them out. Quite a few people always ask "what happens if the motor stops or if you land in water," so it's a good thing to ask about. We also fly with a reserve parachute (like the airbag in a car). So when you are flying a parachute, with a backup parachute, and a flotation device, it's quite safe ;). That being said, no need to brush up on your backstroke (hehe).
