Shut-up Jon , I called first dibs on the equipement lol . I've never paraglided in my life , but watching this video makes it look so addictive , NOTHING blocks your great views , and it is the cheapest way of flying
10 reasons why not to watch this video 1. Title is a lie, total click bait 2. I now want a paramotor more than food 3. After watching his video all i can do is watch more paramotor videos 4. I am now wasting all my time researching how to get into this sport 5. My wife is annoyed with me for constantly watching RUclips videos 6. I want to spend all my money on my paramotor rather than my kids 7. My new future hobby will be para-camping instead of just camping 8. My friends all give me a weird look i tell them what I want to do 9. I had to re write my bucket list 10. I had to subscribe to Fly-guy alberta Awesome video
hostessman I really don't get it! I feel the exact same way, but every friend looks at me like I'm nuts. My girlfriend is sick of me mentioning it. I've had to bite my tongue when wanting talk about it. Just yesterday she said "what a beautiful sky" and I replied "we could be up there right this moment!" She rolled her eyes something fierce. Really? Tell me, what's your hobby? Oh. You like to watch chickflix on Netflix? Wow! Excuse me for being fucking excited for flight! We are the sane ones, the ones who laugh, they'll always be on the ground!!! Pshhh
Just about a year ago I saw my first paramotor video on youtube, from Tucker Gott. Over the next couple months it was all I could think about, and I knew I was probably gonna get into this sport I couldnt afford. I saw this video floating around in my recommended videos, and really didnt want to break the spell and watch it - particularly because Im a fellow Albertan. I finally bit the bullet and watched the video and that was all she wrote for me, reached out and got into contact with Air Adventure. Finished my 9th flight a couple days ago, due to in large part this video
Find cheap one, check parts to fix them if something is wrong and here you go! Just invest in chutes, buy main chute and safe chute, more chute you have more chance you will be alive.. moar parachutes!
Yep same!!! But there’s only two places for it near me, one is about 2 hours away and one isn’t far but I’ve seen no updates for like two years, but I think they’re still running?
Bahahahahahah, loved your reasons. I WILL NOT buy one. I've only NOT looked into buying one for a couple years.... but now forget it. I will not sale my extra car that just sits in the driveway collecting cob webs and dirt. I will not use my tax money to invest in this total selfish sport. I cant wait to not buy one.
Do you transport your paramotor on the back like that or just to get it ready? I have a jeep, same color too! If I ever get a paramotor, that looks like a good transport solution :]
Ha! Great video! I figured before hand your title was dripping with sarcasm and had to watch it. I want to do this and this is yet another reason to take the leap.
I agree with you. He makes me want to use my dumb founded strength and slurr him around like a rag doll puppet. And violence ain't the answer but he sounds more of a jerk. What's wrong with expanding your horizon might make you feel more closer to the creator of things or release some tension or add mo kool point on your status. Very true. This also applies to air trikes, and hang gliding. Your circle of friends changes completely and all you think about is when the next great weather day will be. This is one of the reasons I live in Southern Nevada.
Thanks brother. I flew Cessna's in the 80s when I was in HS and I've missed the perspective more than anything else. This looks SO amazing. I have three kids... I may need to get into this! : )
Absolutely loved your video.. got my private pilots license back in the eighties. Insurance got too high.. quit flying. This might just be the thing for those of us who have experienced the sights and sounds that we have.Kudos for following your dream.
most people want a car. many want a house. I'd trade both for one of these. I am getting a paramotor whether I like it or not. but I know I will like it. actually that's a lie because I will love it. no that's still a lie because there's no word to really decribe how much I want one of these damn things!!
After getting a private license 30 years ago I was so addicted I went all the way through Commercial/Instrument/CFI. Then, not satisfied I started hang gliding. I was dumfounded when I learned that most other people had no desire to join me in the sky. That's OK, there are plenty of people who DO get it and they make a great group of friends!
Thank you for talking me out of para-motor. You have no idea of how much money you saved me!!!! I was gunna hate on this video thinking this guy was just gunna talk a lot of trash & kill people’s dreams about this sport until I watched it....now I want to do this even more 😂🤷🏻♂️
Greetings from west Edmonton! I just stumbled onto your youtube channel and have subscribed immediately. I came here via Tucker Gott's channel and expect equivalent entertainment value from you also. No, I would never ever fly a paramotor because I'm too afraid of heights and I'm also too old to try it. It's so good to find a youtube channel owned by an Albertan paramotor pilot. Thank you.
I started skydiving in 2017 and a fellow jumper took up powered paragliding shortly thereafter (we met during STP). Looks like I’ve got a new sport to learn.
Wonderful video, had a good laugh. We had a flight in an Aerochute just over 20 years ago just out of Melbourne. Considering having another look thanks to you. Number 9 was my favourite. Thanks for cheering my day and reminding me of what's important in life.

I clicked on this video to hopefully help me talk myself out the idea of flying about all over place(also an idea the missis hates) Well annoyingly this turns out to be clickbait !! .... But even more annoying is the fact I'm not in the air right now

Was your launch point the South Calgary airport? Across the river from the 'Hell on Wheels' set? We use the crash site there for CASARA exercises frequently.
I am so glad I watched this video. I was seriously considering taking all my money and buying one of these and taking lessons in innisvail or however it's spelt. Whew you probably saved me 13-15k

Jon Netbotic yeah just pass over the equipment and everything will be fine lol
Shut-up Jon , I called first dibs on the equipement lol . I've never paraglided in my life , but watching this video makes it look so addictive , NOTHING blocks your great views , and it is the cheapest way of flying
Jon Netbotic you should give some to me too, just to be safe
I call first dibs on the wing! Gimme the wing! It's mine!
You had me with the ‘money’ part. I got too many hobbies anyways.
My wife told me I have to give up my paramotor or else she will leave me. Gosh I'm gonna miss her!
USNVA lovely comment really made me laugh :-)
Iiiiiiiii'm gonna miss her, when I get home. Walk through the door tonight and I'm gonna miss her
XD Get a tandem paramotor and she'll instantly change her mind!
Brad paisley, and I'm over in England,
Good choice
People ask me all the time, "is that fun"? I tell them, only thing I can compare it to is sex, but it last a lot longer and not nearly as dangerous.
LOL just like Arnie said once --- "You keep cumming and cumming and cumming all the time"
Gleanerman I don't think having a chance to crash and die is more dangerous than sex, also sex doesn't cost 7,000 dollars
Gfhgfgfggfgggfbfg Hhhgggdfy you've never been married or had a long term relationship... Pussy costs WAAAAAY more than 7k
Gfhgfgfggfgggfbfg Hhhgggdfy Ask my divorce lawyer how much sex cost me. *Significantly* more than $7K.
Hell yeah dude!!! :D

Reasons to buy one
#1: Drones are basically banned, so paramotor is the best way to take Areal photography.
#2: You get top notch training, ultralight license(not required in the USA), and knowledge of aviation.
#3: It's way more fun(i would assume but I'm well short of the cost until the economy recovers)
#4: Still Cheaper than the 10-15 drones you'd crash trying to learn to fly.
#5: I live in the same city as an instructor.
#6: The paragliding/motor community is small and not overflowing with duchebags and soccer moms like the storm chasing community.
#7: I subscribed to Tucker
#8: I subscribed to you
Applies to PG also pretty much, but add stupid amounts of hiking up to launch and then often having to hike BACK DOWN
