    This week, Tony and the team are upstairs building curved studwork.
    Tony is at the office first thing on Tuesday morning, as there have been alterations to the plans that need printing off ready to be taken to site before heading tending out an invoice for materials - Who will be cheaper?
    Back onsite, the lads work to get all the joists in place and James uses the Festool TS55F FEBQ-PLUS 240V Plunge Saw to get all the noggins cut and ready to be installed
    Tony then shows James a really quick and easy DIY Trammel which is going to be a massive time saver when constructing the curved stud walls.
    Tony and Pete then work together to get the stud walls built upstairs, Pete using the Festool KS 120 REB GB 260mm Electric Double-Bevel Sliding Compound Mitre Saw 240V to cut the timbers to Tony's specification and Tony uses his trusty Festool C18 LI 18V Li-Ion Brushless Cordless to secure them in place.

    Great video as usual Tony. Really interesting to hear you talking behind the scenes stuff. Only builders realise how much goes in to every single job. Long before you pick up a hammer or put a spade in the ground! Thanks for the content. Dave.

      Hi molly thanks for your kind words the thing is myself, Robin,Del and Dan are all amazing talented craftsmen but their are thousands out their just as good or if not better and what gets me is the system in place for training is broken and nobody is doing anything about it. The industry has a short fall this year of 355k by 2025 and it goes up every year, good trades people will be like gold have a awesome week all the best Tony 👍

    Those laminated drawings are gold, drawings not get wet and dirty or tear up, and it's easy to sketch things up on them with whiteboard markers which you can easy wipe of after.

    Hi Tony love watching your videos, any reason you couldn't use CLS for stud work. Also your 100% right when it comes to builders merchants there's no loyalty doesn't matter how much you spend😮 about time things change for the tradesmen.

      @BuildWithAE  8 месяцев назад +1

      Hi Chris much appreciated I haven’t used CLS for absolute years much prefer the 4 x 2 treated timber I used a lot of CLS when I was house bumping many years ago but also it never really works to door linings width sizes have a cracking week all the best Tony 👍

    The kids knee to know to protect their kness advice is wasted on so many. I've a stack of interlocking mechanic mats that I whip up and down very easily when I have a section of kneeling or elbow work on.

    Why do you screw everything and not nail it? 😮

    • @Palo-jm7xc
      @Palo-jm7xc 8 месяцев назад +2

      It's better if you use the correct structural screws as you can take it apart if the client alters something. I feel its more accurate as well as the timber can shift slightly when nailing. Obviously only use structural grade screws.
