Any vid with Miss Hannah is a win!!! She knows what Eric is going to do before he does. What's this ride question ?? She should be test driving that beast while the suspension travel is inspected.
To be honest the XJ is SLOWLY being turned into a full-time trailrig. The ZJ is my dd/pt off road toy and the WJ is the Mrs dd. Come to think of it...yeah I AM BROKE
I absolutely love your channel.... you don't edit out goofs, you're real and honest. My kinda mechanic...! Great helper you've got there too Mr. O.... Cheers from Oklahoma!
Hi just wanted to say thank you for all info you have put on your videos. I just started watching your videos about 2 weeks ago and that is about all I've been playing in the shop . Got a 60" TV hooked to RUclips and your playing all day every day ,ether watching or playing in the background. I own a business with 10 trucks and 6 pickup Im basically servicing or fix on every day. Watching you gets me all fired up to work on stuff again . 👍👍 Good that you share all the stuff you have learned over the years with us. Really appreciate it!!! I'll be sure to get some of you swag and stuff on Amazon. Thanks again!!
G'day, Mr. O, and Miss Hannah! I enjoyed watching your Jeep WJ, and installation of the cross member long arm kit, from Iron Rock Off Road. I'll look forward to seeing more about, "Jeep WJ!!" Thank you very much, guys! "Keep on Trucking'" Cheers! 😊🚙🛠✌🏼❤️
Look at the underside of that thing. I remember you showing it to me for a second when I was there. So nice without that NY rust ! Even though I'll miss the ability to bring my vehicles to you, I am glad I left NY for TN. Hopefully my next vehicles will have that same nice clean non-destroyed under side.
Don't let that lady take the gem out of your donut, EO. Wife's got a Nissan Leaf and I've got a diesel Jeep. When neighbors praise the Leaf, I'm quick to say that I help offset our footprint by burning some tires in the backyard.
A few years down the road, some young man is NOT going to believe his luck when he realizes the young lady he's dating is also pretty darn capable, or at least knowledgeable, in mechanics. I love the relationship you have with both Mrs. O and Hannah. Very cool.
Enjoying the Jeep project Eric, I also enjoyed the Fairmont project from ETCG. No dislikes here just enjoying any car repair or project videos as long as it's from the professional guys no offense to anyone. Can't wait to see the finished Jeep project as always until next time PEACE.
Eric, I was waiting for you to bring out the welder to tack down that nut bracket. I was on the edge of my seat while you were trying to line up the bolts wondering when that bracket was going to slip down into the frame abyss. Nice job bringing in Mrs. O to save you, again. Love the WJ videos
RUclips was actually recommending your channel that’s what brought me here, I like what I’m seeing already keep up the great work look forward to hearing from you God bless Ken.
As a weird thought, you could have shoved a small magnet into the frame to hold the "nut plate" in place, so it wouldn't easily shift. I used that trick quite often to hold nuts in place in electronics equipment. I would also hot glue a string to the magnet, so I could remove it easily.
Hey Eric, hats off to the WJ lift! YOUR LUCKY to be wrenching on a. "southern vehicle". I have to replace everything under my 2000 Grand, every time l crawl under l find something else( northern Delaware). Thanks, good work!
I think your idea drilling a hole and plug weld in that bracket in the place is a damn good idea and it would have taken you but just a few minutes to do it.
At GM we would take a mag welder and pop the fastener so the wire would weld to it than cut the wire to desired length then you can fish the fastener in with the wire as a guide.
At 10:45 did Hannah just say "You suck."? Hahahahahaha... Man, I almost fell out of the chair laughing! Man, I love it when Hannah's there sidekicking for you!
If you use bolts with the heads cut off to hold the nut plate in position as you fit the bracket you can then remove them one at a time and bolt it down and a piece of string on the plate helps as well
At my Friends garage- he Professionally does the complete Fluid Film service; drill holes where needed, spray inside stuff, then rubber caps. A trick/tip for you & others: get a 1 or 2 quart sauce pan, and either a propane or electric hot plate (he uses a plastic container in a microwave) and heat the Fluid Film to 200F. When sprayed hot- it creeps better, and goes way further in coverage amount. Remember- the "lubricant" in the aerosol can is NOT the same formula as the "undercoating" stuff. There is a noticeable difference. 2-3 HOT quarts should be enough for your entire Jeep. Shove lengths of wire or zip ties in door, sill, and other small drain holes to prevent clogging, remove afterwards.
Very happy you're doing lift kits now!!! Awesome!! I want to put a 7inch drop diff kit on my Suburban with 35s. :) I got the Bilstien 5100 and 5160s already, they're awesome!
Eric, as a long time viewer of your channel, I have a suggestion for a video. How about showing us the process of how you edit and upload your videos to youtube. I think many of us would find it most interesting to see the way you put them together to such a professional standard
Mike Holt be like the episode of fantom works where he had two different monte Carlos and brought the one that wasn’t there’s out and tried to make it there’s and then gave them the right car. Lol would be funny if he could do that.
Cool build. I always had issues with blind bolt starting. I would thread a stud to it first to keep it straight then switch over. I work by myself so I don't have a Hannah running around.
Sorry Mr.O, It took me a minute to get to the video. I was having a jam session watching a MEATLOAF LIVE concert on the RUclips! Lol! Love all the vids! Diags and WJ ! Turning wrenches with Brake Clean wafting through the air! Pure heaven! Just a tidbit you maybe interested in, a RUclipsr I follow has a vid on repairing Milwaukee air ratchets. Actually I think it may have been a battery powered one,but anyway,doublewide6 ! Hope that's legal to mention. Not trying to plug his channel or anything. Keep all the vids coming!
Easy way to put any nuts behind the frame if you can't get your fingers in there to hold it is to weld a strong wire to the nut like some towbar installations do that way you can maneuver the nut more and hold it at the same time
that was an awesome video. no brake cleaner or classic reach arounds again but i reckon the nut plate wranglin inside the frame was somewhat a reach around
I actually snapped one of the studs on my Camaro wheel after fluid filming the hub face after a brake job while torquing it down to 140. It just kept going and SNAP. I love the fluid film but never again on hubs. Will probably go back to good ol antiseize going forward.
140 foot pounds, is what's printed in owners manual's, which also lists it as 190 Newton Meters.. most all the latest/high performance GM say 140 in the manual. many of the trucks have been 120 to 140 for years also. decent listings here and hey cover most all vehicles ;) www.discounttiredirect.com/learn/wheel-torque#chevrolet
You likely could have skipped the t-case drop spacers. The SYE adds lots of length so driveline vibes wouldn't be an issue. Unless maybe there was somewhere the driveline may hit? Keeping everything tucked up as high as possible to prevent hanging up on a rock or stump is always a good idea. When I put the SYE in my YJ, (TINY rear DS), I was able to remove my t-case drop and tuck the belly up.
sometimes with the digital torque wrench, when you tried to torqued it,you know your close to the torque spec, but it still doesnt beep. i usually drop down the torque spec like to 30, 50 then 65ft/lb.then it will beep. if you keep going and tried to torqued to 65ft/lb ,it will either strip or break.
76 Cherokee 401 balanced blueprints 13.5 TRW pistons 280 comp cam ported polished heads elderbrock intake 750 Holley hooked headers 400 turbo tranny just a shift kit 4:09 gears part time kit in quadratic posi front rear 39.5 super swampers dam that thing was fun street & off-road built for some bogging but rule changes screwed that up
I really appreciate that videos everyone does showing how to do it but no one really ever explain what effect it has and what kind of benefits the installation of certain things do so I really never know if they are worth buying and installing if you could kinda explain why someone should put these on their vehicle would definitely make these videos 💯 % more watchable
ughhhhh! project fairmont pt 2! soooo many videos! haha, just kidding. i enjoy the project style videos! keep 'em coming man! also, i'mma be in upstate NY next month, whats a good place to get that maple stuff you were always eating when you were doing your livestreams?
Not a fan of all that off-road stuff. Your obvious excitement and enthusiasm is contagious, though! Nice work! Umm...stainless steel fasteners??? Just a thought.
I would have tacked or wired a handle onto that insert. They are quite a pain even with a handle. Great job! even if someone pays you to install a lift kit. Ha Ha
should have taken the part you have inside trying to get the bolt screwed on and put a little bigger champher on it to make the bolt start easier OR taken the bolt and champher a little bit on a belt sander pr grinder to make it slightly pointer to start it easier
Any vid with Miss Hannah is a win!!!
She knows what Eric is going to do before he does.
What's this ride question ??
She should be test driving that beast while the suspension travel is inspected.
From an old Jeep guy to you.... IT never ends. IT constantly WANTS work/upgrades. Keep up the good work.
Just Empty Every Pocket right!?
I have an XJ, ZJ and a WJ, so I have NO MONEY
HAHAHA MAN you must be BROKE! I can only afford one at a time
To be honest the XJ is SLOWLY being turned into a full-time trailrig. The ZJ is my dd/pt off road toy and the WJ is the Mrs dd. Come to think of it...yeah I AM BROKE
Good thing I have a day job. Not established enough (yet) with my RUclips channel to get monetized..haha
I gotta say that kit is lining up pretty good so far. Can hardly wait to see the finished product.
I absolutely love your channel.... you don't edit out goofs, you're real and honest. My kinda mechanic...! Great helper you've got there too Mr. O.... Cheers from Oklahoma!

I definitely agree with Ozzstar on your fishing skills!
That jeep is going to be bullet proof when you are done keep it going
Look at the underside of that thing. I remember you showing it to me for a second when I was there. So nice without that NY rust ! Even though I'll miss the ability to bring my vehicles to you, I am glad I left NY for TN. Hopefully my next vehicles will have that same nice clean non-destroyed under side.
Good video Eric O. Your doing a good job can't wait for the next one thanks for showing us your jeep build
Don't let that lady take the gem out of your donut, EO. Wife's got a Nissan Leaf and I've got a diesel Jeep. When neighbors praise the Leaf, I'm quick to say that I help offset our footprint by burning some tires in the backyard.
I have a customer who has a 2500HD 6.0 Chevy
and a Prius hahah his combine MPG is around 30 I figure 🤣
A few years down the road, some young man is NOT going to believe his luck when he realizes the young lady he's dating is also pretty darn capable, or at least knowledgeable, in mechanics. I love the relationship you have with both Mrs. O and Hannah. Very cool.

You are a awesome mechanic! I wish I was closer I'd so have you work on my cars!
RUclips was actually recommending your channel that’s what brought me here, I like what I’m seeing already keep up the great work look forward to hearing from you God bless Ken.
Just what I needed on my Monday!
Eric..Thanks for bring me along on this build..makes me feel like I am part of it and I am learning alot also
As a weird thought, you could have shoved a small magnet into the frame to hold the "nut plate" in place, so it wouldn't easily shift. I used that trick quite often to hold nuts in place in electronics equipment. I would also hot glue a string to the magnet, so I could remove it easily.
“Exactly the same just a lil different”
😂
Great video .
Another Jeep video, you just made my Monday.
You and scannerdanner are the only two I turn the adblocker off for!
:O *gasp* @ d-d-d-d-disable adblocking
For the threaded insert plate, try using a magnet to position it.
Reduce your torque setting to allow for the fluid film's lubricant effect.
Hey Eric, hats off to the WJ lift! YOUR LUCKY to be wrenching on a. "southern vehicle". I have to replace everything under my 2000 Grand, every time l crawl under l find something else( northern Delaware). Thanks, good work!
Your nut fishing skills are impressive, to say the least.
I think your idea drilling a hole and plug weld in that bracket in the place is a damn good idea and it would have taken you but just a few minutes to do it.
Pumped to see this thing in action! Coming along nicely thanks for another great sma vidja
At GM we would take a mag welder and pop the fastener so the wire would weld to it than cut the wire to desired length then you can fish the fastener in with the wire as a guide.
I like these videos and the diag and the nuts and bolts.
Jeep!!!Geeeeeezzzzzz!!Good luck with this beast, She is clean tho!
At 10:45 did Hannah just say "You suck."? Hahahahahaha... Man, I almost fell out of the chair laughing! Man, I love it when Hannah's there sidekicking for you!
I'm enjoying this series.

Nice job, Mr. O. Nice job.
Love your show..Crew chief UH-1 US Air Force..Now I keep B-52H air borne :)
Love your work! Wish we had machanics over here in Australia that knew their way around my 4.7 wj. Keep the videos coming mate.
Looks good - stay happy!!
SMA#1
God bless
paul
WOW, Right in the feel's! LOL......Sounds like your gonna have to strap on the cup when working on the WJ.
Yeah I guess so, didn't think i would get kicked right in the nuts in my own shop haha
Very happy you're doing lift kits now!!! Awesome!! I want to put a 7inch drop diff kit on my Suburban with 35s. :) I got the Bilstien 5100 and 5160s already, they're awesome!
What's up Eric! More fun with the jeep!
Eric, as a long time viewer of your channel, I have a suggestion for a video. How about showing us the process of how you edit and upload your videos to youtube. I think many of us would find it most interesting to see the way you put them together to such a professional standard
That's some sick recursive fetish, man. He'd have to edit the video of him editing videos.
Awesome Video.... Thank You Mr. O'!!!
Short studs or all thread rod could be used to hold the nut plates in place. But fishing seems to work too!
You should have said "if you think that's stupid you should've seen what I did to your car"!
Mike Holt be like the episode of fantom works where he had two different monte Carlos and brought the one that wasn’t there’s out and tried to make it there’s and then gave them the right car. Lol would be funny if he could do that.
If the lady thinks that's stupid I wonder what she would think of the 170k people watching you do it. lol
Haha that make you all stupid too right?
Definitely! haha
15:03 lol :)
11k subs in two weeks, Go O's!
Hillary would say we're all deplorable. -just sayin'...
Cool build. I always had issues with blind bolt starting. I would thread a stud to it first to keep it straight then switch over. I work by myself so I don't have a Hannah running around.
Can’t go to sleep before watching a dr.o video
Sorry Mr.O, It took me a minute to get to the video. I was having a jam session watching a MEATLOAF LIVE concert on the RUclips! Lol!
Love all the vids! Diags and WJ ! Turning wrenches with Brake Clean wafting through the air! Pure heaven!

I like diag more, but we have those mechanical people too that we have to allow them to enjoy their space. Respect!
Ahhh someone who GETS IT!! Thank you!
Easy way to put any nuts behind the frame if you can't get your fingers in there to hold it is to weld a strong wire to the nut like some towbar installations do that way you can maneuver the nut more and hold it at the same time
That exhaust clamp tho, it would drive my ocd crazy lol.
One stud is left long for the ground straps that hook to it, good eye, i just did not have them on at the time. OEM :)
Gaining on it. Thanks for the video.
that was an awesome video. no brake cleaner or classic reach arounds again but i reckon the nut plate wranglin inside the frame was somewhat a reach around
I actually snapped one of the studs on my Camaro wheel after fluid filming the hub face after a brake job while torquing it down to 140. It just kept going and SNAP. I love the fluid film but never again on hubs. Will probably go back to good ol antiseize going forward.
probably ready to break from the tire shop/person before you :)
The torque shouldn't even be 80ft lbs dry if it's an M12x1.5 nut. You're almost doubling the torque spec then blaming the fluid film when it breaks.
140 foot pounds, is what's printed in owners manual's, which also lists it as 190 Newton Meters.. most all the latest/high performance GM say 140 in the manual.
many of the trucks have been 120 to 140 for years also.

Great video Eric O
That Frame!
Hanna is awesome!
On the next exciting episode of SMA....
Love you, greetings from germany!
Eric, you shouldn't have told people this was your vehicle until the very last episode - then people wouldn't complain about a 'Fairmont' series LOL
Haha...I see what you did there.. B-)
good idea lol!
Use a stud in one hole aline plate screw bolt in other hole, remove stud and finish bolting plate.
Where were ya a month ago ROLLEN!?
Excellent job man
For the lady who hit you in the feels: Imagine how she would feel knowing that SHE is helping pay you to buy all the parts & install it :)
sometimes with the digital torque wrench, when you tried to torqued it,you know your close to the torque spec, but it still doesnt beep. i usually drop down the torque spec like to 30, 50 then 65ft/lb.then it will beep. if you keep going and tried to torqued to 65ft/lb ,it will either strip or break.
should put a string to the brackets before sliding them into frame in case they shift ,you can pull them forward
Hope there’s enough room for the bolt and nut for the new upper arm. It appears tight with the fuel/brake lines running thru there...
76 Cherokee 401 balanced blueprints 13.5 TRW pistons 280 comp cam ported polished heads elderbrock intake 750 Holley hooked headers 400 turbo tranny just a shift kit 4:09 gears part time kit in quadratic posi front rear 39.5 super swampers dam that thing was fun street & off-road built for some bogging but rule changes screwed that up
Hooker headers blueprinted
Lookin Good
Hanna cant leave, she is so good at giving you sh"t lol
Torque Wrench sounds like the Showcase Show down... got a winner with 65 ...
Just need Drew and a skinny mic haha
Yes!!!
Doing it right man, once again excited to see the next vid on the Jeep
Try studs to hold the plate. Install plate remove 1 stud at a time it won't move
An actual torque wrench? I must be seeing things!
I wish the under side of my truck was that clean/rust free.
Troubles are coming big daddy. But then you already know that dont ya? LOL
That Jeep is sure nice underneath.
Fun to watch that I the can figure out what year the episode is by the impact tools you use???!!!
I have never seen a ratchet wrench work that fast lol
ughhhhh! project fairmont pt 2! soooo many videos! haha, just kidding. i enjoy the project style videos! keep 'em coming man! also, i'mma be in upstate NY next month, whats a good place to get that maple stuff you were always eating when you were doing your livestreams?
And where's the Taylor machine being mounted?
The only time it really ends ( if you own a jeep ) Is when it's sold/ or bone yard. Till then keep the tool box open. : )
Safety glasses! Preposterous.
Not a fan of all that off-road stuff. Your obvious excitement and enthusiasm is contagious, though! Nice work!
Umm...stainless steel fasteners??? Just a thought.
Ya may have to cut back on the caffine, ie. Trans cross member removal, whew!! LoL....
almost cannot wait to see the final mall crawling kid hauling jeep completed. we all know that's where it will be when not garage parked :)))))
I don’t know why , but the fast forward made me laugh my ass off!!!! Reminded me of a Charlie Chaplin movie !!! 😂😂
You could have used some adhesive on that device to hole it in place on the frame.
I can not believe how clean that underside is!!!! Did they ever drive that jeep in the rain??? Not even mud up there! Sumptin is very fishy----
Hi Eric
Could you have used a large magnet to alighn the plate?
Cheers
That extra hand you have sure gives you a hard time.
I hate drilling into the double donger too.
I would have tacked or wired a handle onto that insert. They are quite a pain even with a handle. Great job! even if someone pays you to install a lift kit. Ha Ha
How about the ‘O’ J?
That would be a Ford Bronco. Lol
Haha yes a White 95 Bronco (Full size)
Great!
Remove lower control arm, stick magnet/pliers into frame rail to hold the ganged nut?
Good evening Sir,
How about Project 'O'?
should have taken the part you have inside trying to get the bolt screwed on and put a little bigger champher on it to make the bolt start easier OR
taken the bolt and champher a little bit on a belt sander pr grinder to make it slightly pointer to start it easier
