Thanks for making this video. I have been wondering for a bit as I am in the market for a new bed for my 99.5 (Toronto Winters have been rough on the bed, but my cab is still doing great). Just like you, When I was searching all I was finding was mixed information on forums without photos. I've generally been looking at 99 to '07 beds and when they bring them here from the states they usually want around 4k Canadian. I've seen 11-16 beds much cheaper in the past and obviously they usually have less rust.
@@6.0_titan Yesssir iv been building a 07 250 single cab long bed. Super clean truck but bed has a really bad spot of driver side. Im.about to make same decision u did. I really appreciate ur vids homie. I looove single cabs.
I thought the bed in the video was an old bed and you were going to change it (from damage not shown yet). I didn't notice the wheel well flair difference! Good video, beautiful truck, thanks!
I don't know how it makes a difference but my 08 F250 long bed has a 15 long bed on it and the body lines DO NOT line up. If you want the body lines (mid truck) to match the bed must go up almost 2". At that point the bottom of the bed is above the cab. I watched hoping I did something wrong 😆. I don't know if it's the year or the long bed that makes a difference but it's something
I'm looking at bedside racks for inside the bed, did you notice any differences in dimensions that might affect installs between the 99-10 and the 11-16 styles?
Just wondering if anyone has swapped older style bedsides onto a newer model bed? Like 05 skins onto a 17 model bed? Would that be a way to make it match up?
Did you have an issue trying to hook up the bed lights to the cab since obviously your cab is older than the bed. I'm currently working on an 03 cab to a 2017 bed and the plugs don't match and wiring is a good bit different. Just wondering what you faced in your swap Thanks!
The new bed looks awesome. Like you said average person, and even avid truckers wouldn't notice. Nice truck brother.
Helped me a lot! I’m doing an 11-16 front end conversion and didn’t know how the body lines would look with the cab!
Also doing the bed as well obviously
Glad this helped!

Looks awesome looking at putting on a 16 bed on my 06 supercab !
Thanks man, I was looking everywhere for this!
Very nice truck bro
Are the bed dimensions the same, the bed rails?, Would a camper ahell from the other bed fit this one?

Np!
Looks so good !!
Do you think a 2009 f250 tailgate and rear bumper fit on a 2003 f350?
Great video! How did all the bolt holes on bed line up when mounting?
Like factory! Helps to have a 2nd person to shimmy the bed around while you wiggle the bolts in but not bad!
You didn’t have to drill any new holes? Or weld anything?

great video
Thank you
You should throw the 2016 front end on er too
Hey bro so an 09 bed will fit more precise on an 01 then I’m assuming? More identical ??
Just wondering if anyone has swapped older style bedsides onto a newer model bed? Like 05 skins onto a 17 model bed? Would that be a way to make it match up?
Wait so I have an 04 ford f350 5.4 8 feet that’s in need of a bed. I can get one that’s 11-16?

I didn't have to rewire anything I just pulled down the old existing wires put the new bed on and reattached my old wires
Do you think a 2020 would fit a 2012 Silverado long bed
nice man!
I have been wondering alot. There are brand new 2022 beds going for $500-$1000, cheaper than used.
We're looking for newer one for my 2012..
Because there are more of them out there. People swapping out for new flatbed on newer trucks
Is it the same with a 2017 bed being installed on a 2004 f250 super duty
I've never installed but I know the body lines do not match up at all and it looks weird haha
What we're the hiccups you ran nto
What’s grille do u have on it
Amazon meshgrill with outer shell paint matched
Will a 2018 go on a 2000?
Yes but body lines are wag off it looks bad. A quick Google search will do the trick
@@6.0_titanwould a 2009 fit perfect on an 01 7.3 ?
Where did you get the color matched lights from?
I did them haha was hard but not impossible just time consuming
You think it matters if it’s a crew cab. Or is it just as long if it’s the same size bed.
Do the bolt holes line up?
Yes
@@6.0_titan Thanks. Google says a 2017 bed will not fit. Have you confirmed this?
