Your diamond cast pattern is gorgeous! The cap is strikingly different but features different aspects of trees, I really like that! Oh Liane, that pen is a stunner! I recently got my first Leonardo too, and it’s a wonderful writing experience with an elastic fine nib. I picked the Leo MZG 2.0 Baobab Spaghetti. Their build quality is fantastic. Thanks for sharing! 🤘🏼😸🧡🖋
Hi Liane, I just purchased my first Leonardo pen as well. JetPens just started carrying them last week. I picked up Blue Hawaii and it arrived yesterday. I have yet to ink it up. Just like you, I was drawn to it since I love the beach and loved seeing the different blue hues and touch of brown to represent the sandy shores. 🌊
Lovely! One of my grail pens was the Sailor Realo Bungubox Supernova which was created for the 2021 Tokyo pen show. I missed out originally (being to much of an FB baby) after 2 years of stalking ebay and the mark up being too high to consider, in July 2023 Bungubox did a limited re-release and I was able to pick one up and I love it. Don't give up on your grail pen it will come along one day!
Hullo, Liane! My name is Regan. My wife & kids & I have really been enjoying your pen & ink posts! You are so creative in your swatching process; it has been very inspiring. 😊 My very first, good quality fountain pen was a Leonardo Momento Zero, in Blue Hawaii. In my opinion, it is a near-perfect pen: well-made, pretty to look at, not crazy expensive, and it has a replaceable nib section (they simply unscrew, which is handy for in-depth cleaning). I have since purchased a MZ Prugna and a MZ Grande (in Sand finish). The latter is not quite my favourite, because its ebonite feed does not allow shimmer particles out very well -and I love shimmer! The regular MZ's, however, DO handle shimmer VERY well (as does my TWSBI Diamond 580-AL), so I encourage you: do try out the sparkly shimmer inks with this pen! A caveat is that I prefer not to use Dominant Industry pearl inks in my MZ pens (and only within my TSBI 580-AL, actually), since those D.I. inks seem far too dry and shimmer-heavy; for some reason, the TWSBI feed seems to handle these ones better for me. MIND YOU: I always use stub nibs on all but my flex pens; if I were to use F, M, or B nibs in the Moment Zeros, I might enjoy using the D.I. Pearl inks more... ANYWAY! I encourage you to try your lovely new "penna stilografica" with those shimmer inks; in my experience, it's a joyful thing and it does not mess up the feed. @@lianelikes did I go directly to Goldspot… yes!but the fine nibs are all gone and I realized I just bought a pen the other day and had to be a responsible adult 😭😩 Adulting is hard sometimes. ☺️
