    South Maine Auto Repair,
I am an industrial maintenance mechanic, not an auto mechanic, atleast that's what I get. paid for. I've always worked on my own cars since I was a teenager. Acquired an owners manual and started resolving my problems. Fast forward nearly 4 decades and RUclips is my new owners manual.
You kind sir in my opinion are the best of every one who does what you do on RUclips. I follow a few guys who are exceedingly useful for the DIYers like myself but I always look for you first. Thank you sir.

Good find. One trick I learned years ago, pull plugs, put a spill free funnel on radiator or surge tank. Use a leak down tester hose connected to shop air and install in each cylinder. After air is turned on, rotate crank until the cylinder is at TDC and both valves are closed. Watch for bubbles in funnel at radiator/surge tank. Sometimes have to hold the piston up for a minute or so to show a leak.

@@Auto209 if the gasket is blown out bad into the combustion chamber, be aware it will push a lot of water out of funnel quickly. 😉. As you know Hondas are bad about head gaskets if even slightly over heated. I’ve found many this way

If it's a tiny leak as in this case, cylinder pressure can actually seal the leak like a one way valve. That's why there's only a small amount of coolant loss. Good way to find/prove a bigger coolant loss though.

Wow the borescope is awesome, sure has changed from the first one I bought years ago. Watched your unboxing video and wanted to say psoriatic arthritis sucks. I’m 60 and have fought it since I was in my teens. I am almost wheelchair bound now. A lot of my issues were also caused by the 30 years of doing what you do everyday. Watching your videos brings back lots of memories. I did driveability work most of my time working as a tech. I like the way you are involved with networking with other techs and sharing knowledge between each other. I was a very early member of iATN and learned a lot working with other techs and developed a lot of new ways to diagnose problems. I eventually got to the point where I couldn’t do the day to day stuff and went to work for ac delco hotline. Helping others fix issues over the phone was a challenge and was fun. Started teaching and now just piddle some while retired and soaking up sun in Myrtle Beach SC. I truly enjoy watching you and have great respect for your critical thinking skills and the way you approach the diagnostic process. Getting together with other techs and picking each other’s brains is great. Back in the day I went to a few iATN conventions and other get together like Jim Linder and others. The networking with others sure made me a better tech for sure. Keep up the good work.

I wonder if you could use this to inspect whether valves in a direct injection engine would need walnut blasting? Easier that taking the intake off and viewing the back of the valves. You'd have to turn the engine until the intake valves open, but would be a quick check.
