Thank you for showing how to "square up" the flying geese without a specialty ruler. I find it fascinating how many designs can be had using flying geese and HST. I love your teaching style, very clear and concise. I also loved your response to cutting the flying goose that was "off".... "oh well, it'll be fine" 🙃 Thank you! Saved, Sub'd and Liked
Welcome and thanks so much for subbing and watching. The combos are infinite and so exciting.
Fabulous! Thanks for sharing.
I bought some 5" squares from your etsy shop. The one on top was the most beautiful bird. Will use it in a block for the front of a bag or pillow or something to kedp in my sewing space to bring me joy!
Great video, loved all the blocks. On the last one I see the possibility of additional flying geese on outer edge. Thanks for the great ideas.
Glad you enjoyed it! One could definitely keep adding more flying geese and make it bigger! It's a showstopper in my eyes. Thanks for stopping by and watching.
Nice to see you back! Looking forward to more🙂
Thank you so much. I appreciate it! More to come!
I like the Striped Southwest Star best.🥰
I love that block too. I think that would make an awesome quilt with those stripes running through the top. Thanks for stopping by.
I liked the log cabin, saw tooth and starburst best. They all look great.
Thanks and great choices!
I like the weather vane and the star burst blocks the best! You explan how you do these blocks very well.
Thank you so much. I really appreciate that. Happy Quilting!
OMG absolutely awesome! Thank you so much. Love this tutorial. Thanks again...
You are so welcome! I really appreciate you watching!

❤️❤️❤️ Thank you. That means a lot!
👋👋 ❤ Modified log cabin, striped star, cowboy boot. Thanks
Thanks for watching. Good choices!!!
Very nice.
Thank you! Cheers!
Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for watching. I appreciate it. Which one was your favorite?
@@CreatewithClaudia I think the Southwest, but they were all very pretty.
I had so much fun watching this video. I was in a quilting desert and now ready to go again!
That’s awesome! I appreciate you letting me know. What are you thinking about making? 🤗
@@CreatewithClaudia For now blocks of different kinds…maybe fussy cutting and be ready for a lap quilt. I am still afraid of free-motion so I may quilt each block and figure out how to put them together 🤔I am just not ready for that. I think I love piecing but working my way to small quilts.
I am checking to see if you have a video on panel fabrics for season door decor.
I just found your channel and subscribed. I totally enjoyed this video and will look for your other videos as well! Thank you.
Welcome and thank you so much! I appreciate it!
What a coincidence. I just made a modified log cabin about 4 inches finished, but slightly wedge shaped (designing a quilt using my stash and various block designs). I did mine by making a paper-piece design due to the odd shape and narrow strips roughly half inch wide. Only did two strips deep. I also used a small square-in-square and a heart. Instead of splitting the heart in the center vertically I attached the top bumps as a horizontal piece so my florals had a larger complete area.
That sounds interesting. I appreciate you stopping by!
You can also use a wet erase marker on the ruler!
Ohhh…great tip! Thanks for that and for watching!
Those squares in Threads can't be 3/4" cut, can they?
It’s 3 1/4”. I think I mumbled when I said the measurements for the squares. I’ll have to add a clarification. Thanks for watching and the catch. 🤗
@@CreatewithClaudia Thank you! I love your projects!!!
Where did you get the adorable gnome fabric?
I wish I could remember. It was a fat quarter. I’ll have to see if it has some selvage so at least I can tell you the brand of the fabric. It made me smile as soon as I saw it! 🤗
Loved all your instructions ❤
Any chance you could tell me where you got those shelves? They seem like the perfect size for my sewing room. Thanks.
The wooden ones behind me are pretty old (about 27 years old). I think (but can't remember exactly) that they may have been from Ikea or Pier One but I doubt they are made any more. Thanks for watching!
@@CreatewithClaudia Thank you. Loved the blocks I saw.
