I just found your site and I’m so glad I did. At the old age of 72 I don’t waste my time with people that irritate me. I’ve been cruising uTube looking at tutorials about putting in garden beds. You are a delight to listen to and easy to follow your instructions. I’ll be following you forever. Thank you

Next time you do it since you said it’s your first time. I noticed when I did it that wetting the grass & using the edging tool gives a sharp clean cut edge. But I edged it slowly & rocked the edging tool from left to right slightly pushing towards the grass then I pulled the edging tool up but I didn’t completely take it out of the ground as I went down the line making my cut. And it turned out samurai sword sharp. Oh & I waited until the edge was dry before I put my dirt in. It turned out so neat looked very professional I shocked myself. lol

@@TheNeighborDominator I would look for a nice quality mulch … ultra fine, to lay on top of the garden soil. Typically dark black or brown … your choice. Helps to retain moisture and choke out weeds. I have not tried the zinnia mix before, but individual plants and/or shrubs depending on how much sun/shade they see. You did it the proper way with a spade edge … just maintain it now with your trimmer. Cutting beds is tough work.
