Teak must always be cleaned against the grain instead of with. Also with regards to starbrite teak cleaners, the 2 part works much better than a 1 step cleaner/brightener.
@@JasonQuintanilla-b3x They're both correct. For regular cleaning/scrub downs of teak decks you'd do several times per year/month it's recommended to go against the grain or you'll take of most of the thickness of the deck in a few years. For this once per year deep clean that doesn't matter.
Awesome timing to find this video. I’m about to clean the interior of my boat. This looks impressive.
Thanks for posting, nice to know how well these work, I’ve a boatload to do. 😊⛵️
Amazing and awesome thank you for this post my gallery looks exactly like yours. Hopefully it turns out as great as yours did 😎. Cheers from Vegas
Looks, stunning,I’m need to do my tired team interior. Thanks. Andy UK
Thank you for a great informative and concise video. I’m going to try to do my Ericsson.
Wow! A really great video of a great product.
Well done, looks great! 👍🏼
Great short quality video are you removing or scrubbing off a varnish coat then applying a finish. No painting required. Seems too simple
Did you scrub, then just wipe off with dry cloth, wet cloth, did you rinse with a spray bottle?
All before the third step?
Wiped off with wet cloth (and probably wasted too many paper towels)
I did the same process. Based on your video. It worked great. Thanks
Thanks for the video! Was the mahogany oiled or varnished previously?
Did you remove the Varnish first? I'm trying to figure out if the wood was untreated, oiled or varnished before you applied the starbrite.
There was no varnish, it was just oiled, the "Step1 and 2" removed the old oil.
After cleaning tung oil is a great finish that wipes on with a rag.
Just what I was looking for - Thanks
Very helpful and excellent results! Mahalo
Looks great
could you tell me in writing what you did with materials step by step

from the manufacturer website: www.starbrite.com/item/premium-teak-cleaner
"scrub in the direction of wood grain to ensure deep cleaning. "
@@mrgregmovies 100% troll. What kind of savage sands against the grain.

If my teak is dark from oil how do I lighten it up
Only purchase 100% Teak oil. Thin 50% with alcohol. Most of the stuff on the shelf is expensive and diluted vefore you buy.
I'll assume Denatured alcohol from a hardware store, not Isopropyl like the medical stuff 95% pure
Very helpful. Thanks.
Thanks
Skip step 1 and 2 and just use Simple Green to clean it. Then apply oil.
Thank you.
Wow❤️🔥⚓️
Wow!

Woodglut has a lot of plans to choose from.
