  • Sam is trying to teach me how to wingfoil! This is my first real try with my new wing, and I tried it out with my paddle board. I still have a long way to become a master, but this was my first try! Hopefully I will get to practice more this summer! Sorry for the wind noise :)

    You did great Ann-Elin!! You had some major gusts to contend with. You have a good body for doing this. You will get it and be passing Sam in no time! Practice makes perfect! thanks for sharing!

    Great video!! You have an adventurous spirit, which is good because you need one when Sam is around. Keep trying, I bet you’ll be a pro in no time. Sam is awful brave going without a wetsuit.

    Fun stuff! You are adventuresome & strong! I don't think I would like that steep of a learning curve, so I'll just stick with my windsurfing, as I like the mast's rigidity, providing consistency to control wind variances.

      @annelinsynnes  12 дней назад

      Windsurfing looks super fun as well, maybe I’ll try that some day! But I want to be able to wing foil with Sam when we’re traveling, would be so fun 👏😄

    Practice, practice and soon enough you'll be zipping around the bay. 👍

    Maybe you can get better feeling to handle the wing on some flat land with some grass in low wind. On the board try to use your front foot to guide the force from the wing into moving the board forward.

    • @annelinsynnes

    Cool done for the first time. 5 m just a bit too big for this jigh Wind but ok. Very gusty doesnt make it easier. A great sport. I do it by myself in Germany. Cant wait to see you foiling for the first time.

      Hi Ann-Elin I have different spots in northern Germany. Favorite with flat water cobditions is " Speicherkoog" near Büsum at the North sea. Then also Heidkate near Kiel and Selenter See near Plön. Hope to meet you and Sam there one day.... I like your both yt channels. Happy wingin ....🏖 Keep on trying... The skills will grow.

    Yes, it was an enjoyable watch. Every small boat should have blow up board like that. Fun and can be useful. Enjoy your summer. Looking forward to peeks into what life is like where you live.

    Cool video but there's a much easier of learning this. It's great to use a board with a big Center fin to get used to steering upwind (a windsurfing Longboard is perfect), I highly recommend trying to borrow a board like this for your first 2-3 sessions before going on a foil. Otherwise a foil board with plenty of volume, about 130L or more is good than once you're experienced you can downsize to your weight in kg+15L (as an approximate rule)

    Ann when I was your age they hadn't even invented wind surfing yet much less these things. You did pretty good for your first time out. Where are you is this Sardinia? And you DO know that Sam is a bit daring, right? I crewed on a relatively large steel ketch double-ender years ago but was too afraid of height to ever own a sail of my own. Sam though? He doesn't care I doubt he even bothers with a bosuns chair. Nope, not me (I don't fly for the same reason).

    this doesn't look fun to me. if you like it, good for you. those motor foils look sort of fun. just tell sam to get a motor foil sponsor and give up on this wing foil nonsense xD those subnado look awesome. he needs a sponsor from them
