I got a 1924 George V nickel back in change from Shoppers this week! Didn't realize it until I got home and checked. Great hunt this time, even though the pickings were slim! That '52 was a neat find regardless of the condition!
Wow - I should start paying cash more often! Crazy! I was really thinking the hunt was going to be a complete dud - I would have published it anyhow - I want folks to get an honest look at what coin roll hunting is all about. The last 5 or 6 rolls saved the day!
Enjoyed this 5 Cents hunt. The 2005 and 2017 commemoratives were my favorites. These are missing in my album. Got to keep looking for them. I checked the 1996 in my album and I think it's a far 6. woohoo! Thanks for the info. Keep on searching for treasures, maybe you'll be lucky and get rolls and rolls of silver dimes too. Dream on, right? Take care.
@@OgirCoinsFingers crossed (I'd love to get a score even a fraction as big as Southern Canadian Coins or Abeer's - it might still be the find of a lifetime!)
657 silver dimes is crazy, James! That is the lottery win of CRH! I don't think I have found that many silver coins total since I started hunting, and I have been hunting well before RUclips videos. I have been on a nickel hunt tear for my last business strike that I need, the 1939D. But I did have a little luck last week 6 buffaloes, 2 war, 1907 Liberty head "V" and a crazy Canadian cent in 1 box of bank wrapped rolls. 2 buffaloes were in 1 roll, all with readable dates.
Omg Amazing silver coin story. This past January I was lucky to find 13 silver quarters in one roll. Two rolls later 7 silver quarters. Now I thought I was lucky. Wow 657 silver dimes. Keep your videos coming. Great info for us new coin roll hunters. God bless.
Great nickel video! Also, that is a crazy amount of dimes! the most amount of silver dimes i ever found in a box was 5, but i always feel incredibly lucky to even just get one! My oldest nickel i ever found was a first year beaver 1937 with george the 6th, but its pretty smooth and circulated, but still cool to keep in the collection. The only collection dump i came across was two full rolls of mixed provincial quarters in great shape, i never stumbled upon a silver collection dump yet, i can't imagine the shock and excitement of dumping out a roll of old silver 😁
Hopefully, if we keep hunting, we'll find our collection dumps. The most silver I've gotten with dimes is 8 in a box. I thought that was pretty awesome, and I'm pretty happy to find even just one!
All those dimes could be a collection dump. Sweet! My Friday hunt was $60 in nickels and $40 in quarters. I found a West Point quarter I didn't have. Now I need only 1 design of the 10 designs to be done with it. The 2020 Marsh Billings. It took a while to find those in roll hunting. The nickels I found 12 old jeffersons. 6 I added to my book. Now I have 18 out of 62 slots filled. It's going nicely. Be safe over there and happy hunting 👉🪙
Congrats on the nice finds. The first 2000P looks like it is missing some of the beads between the word cents and the maple leaf on the reverse. Is this common? Thanks for the video. Love Canadian coins!!
Hey, I am new to coin roll hunting and recently found your channel. I have learned a lot from you. Do you still have more tips? Your videos are great by the way.
One time I went to Walmart neighborhood market. There was a Walmart cashier that is a foreign coin collector and it and she had a King George v silver dime from 1931 I believe
What do you do with the Nickel cup afterwards, do you put them in a collection or what?. Like your videos especially that you are in Canada, got coin roll hunting inspiring from you. Thanks really enjoying this journey, eh.
Thanks so much for watching! Once I've got a few nickel cups full, I dump them out, and then roll them up by year 1965-1981. At the moment, I'm just holding onto them. If nickel appreciates and their's an active market for trading 'junk/scrap' nickel coins, like there is for silver coins, I might sell them. You can't legally melt Canadian coins, so they'd really just act as a bullion investment.
@@CADRollHunter Thank you for getting back to me. After seeing your video the first time coin roll hunting in Canada, I started to do so, it's great and you inspired me to do so. I appreciate your videos and watch them every night, please keep posting.
This weekend I was visiting my family and went to a flea market where I ended up getting three coins for an equivalent of roughly 35 cents each. One which caught my eye was what looked like an XVIIIth century British halfpenny - but after doing research on it it turned out to be an ~1830's Canadian "blacksmith token" - how incredible is that! Not to mention how very rare, historically fascinating and expensive these are! And what was it even doing in Poland of all places?!
As a U.S. hobby collector of coins that has expanded to collect Canadian coins I definitely enjoyed this video tho calling U.S. coins foreign is funny. Keep up the good job and looking forward to more content.
Nobody has done to my knowledge the best coin books for collecting. I am a new collector and want to by the best books for collecting Canadian & US. Also best books for price. Thanks

I’m always pulling all the pre-81 nickels for the metal 😉🥰 it is one of the ways I know if I’m coming across rolls I’ve already searched

I've seen some issues with the beads in more recent years (2016-18) but no so much the 2000s. I'll have to take another look!

I watched a pawn shop video and a woman bought in a 100 rolls of silver dimes!
Well, she was smart enough not to deposit them at the bank!
Is it me or are there only 49 rolls in that box?
There were 50 rolls - I counted twice because I thought the same thing - they were all out of whack!!
WHAT is this title? Must be a good video!
