Since I have so many Canadian Nickels (well - I have my fair share being in the states), I figured I would put my Canadian Nickel Mat to use and hunt though all of my Canadian Nickels to start filling up my Albums.
It's been something I have wanted to do for quite some time - since I already have my Canadian Penny Album near complete and I am planning on doing a similar hunt for both my Canadian Dimes and Canadian Quarters as well!
During this hunt, I take the time to look for several of the Rare and Valuable Canadian Nickels to familiarize myself with the different varieties that can be found. I also tried to make sure that the video was informative while still being as fun as I could make it.
Hope you enjoyed the video and if so, let me know if you'd like to see even more Foreign coin hunts like this one.
    Keep hunting and good luck!
They're still out there for us to find!
By the way - I am selling my custom Coin Roll Hunting Mats on my website or on eBay (see below):

You are right, the 1936 dot existe on the one 1 cent ( really rare, last sold 700 000 $ at a auction, sold a million before), on the 10 cent (also really rare, sold 87 000 at a auction) and on the 25 cent ( less rare but still really expensive about 20$ in G-4 and 6000$ in ms-64.

Well I've learned something new about Canadians thanks to you... I've got roughly ~15 or so pieces from up North in my collection but I really know nothing about them. My most interesting specimens are a centennial dime which I suspect to be silver, as well as a couple of older pennies. In paper currency I've got an old King George note. I have one single solitary Canadian nickel in the collection and if it's a year you need I'd be happy to send it to you, I'll have to dig it out and see what's what but I think it's too new for your books. As for the nickel you showed, whenever I see what looks like doubling, since I'm still a beginner I always simply err on the side of die deterioration, so that'd be my best guess. But even in such cases I think any coin that shows something like what you showed is interesting and worth keeping, even if it's not valuable and even if it's not even a catalogued error/variety. I have OCD (for real not an exaggeration lol) and I have to force myself to throw coins back or I'd keep almost all of them, because the longer I look at them under the glass the more I realize almost every coin is unique, and since losing my dad in July I find myself drawn into the world of coins because it's something he liked. Anyways thanks for the vid, they're always interesting. God bless.

Both of the 1962’s you have are acceptable “double die” dates. The most-common doubling is on the 2. You should ALSO look for doubling on the upper leaves and “5 CENTS” as well
