Commentary is useful to me, your thoughts and experience are invaluable. Also hints and tips and techniques for painting are useful, even if we’ve seen them before!
Your video commentaries are clear, concise and articulate. It is useful to me to hear your impressions of the kit -- assembly, parts detail, fit, decals quality, etc. Either way, I thoroughly enjoy the quality videos you produce.
I like a commentary because the narrative shares the experience of the build, what was difficult, fragile, easy and any anomalies encountered. Was the landing gear up to par, did the wing halves fit well together, was the fuselage warped....probably not in this build but commentaries discuss these issues. I hadn't seen this one but the model looks good.
Very nice visual build but I much prefer it with commentary. I built a modified Ram after your build and your commentary on the suspension was important. So my vote respectfully is commentary away! Thank you again for the nice build.
A nice result and an enjoyable video. I prefer the commentary but appreciate that takes time. Whatever route you take won’t deter me from watching your videos in the future.
I did music and limited commentary on my first two "model build" videos, then went for full commentary, and have found it much more engaging and rewarding!
First, nice build. Glad you didn't go overboard with weathering and such. As for the muzak/commentary thing, I don't see why you can't do both. I understand it makes editing more of a chore, and there's the sound loudness balancing issue (voice at normal volume followed by BLARING music) which plagues many YT channels. But if you run across something strange or difficult during a build, please feel free to share which way you had to hold you tongue to get things to fit while you're showing us the issue.
I think a bit of commentary is nice; let us know if parts didn't go together well, or what paint your using, or any particular techniques, what you thought of the kit overall etc. Anyway, Hurricane looks great. Really nice build and excellent finish.
Thanks - and thanks for the feedback too. Yes, I suppose some kits don't have much to say about them because they tend to fall together (hello, Tamiya!), whereas others necessitate a bit more commentary. Appreciate the comment, thanks.
Terrific job on the Hurricane....the sea scheme is a welcome change to the usual green and brown. Don't mind either way with music vs commentary although providing tips etc is a good thing....however, whatever you feel is right for you should be the way to go....I'll be tuning in either way!
Thanks mate. Yes, I've never had a bad kit from their recent releases (though you do have to be careful because a few are just reboxes of very old kits).
So weird. I had this same kit but the wing tops were completely flat and had to be curved over the spar. Then, even after sanding the spars down, it wouldn't curve properly. Resulted in a 1 mm overlap of the bottom of the wings. Never had that issue with the two tropical kits and BoB one.
I think Airfix have an issue with consistency of their kits - I am building two of their Lancasters now - identical kits - and one is massively warped.
Thanks Ralf. The fit was really good. You just have to be careful with Airfix because sometimes these kits in their new boxes are just old toolings, sometimes from decades ago. You can use Scalemates to check how old a kit really is.
You're welcome. I would like to build a Stuka myself, but I did notice that there are several Airfix ones with quite different prices. Maybe the cheaper ones are older toolings?
Hello, you can buy a Airfix kit Ju 87 R in 1:48 scale, order Number A0 7115 today for 48 € by ebay.de . I have build this one. But I think it is verry expensive. I have paid not so much. In my opinion, it is an older one. Greetings Ralf Mayby The Nr. A07114 its from 2017 with new tools.
@@dsc19hundert5h3 One day I'll buy a Stuka, but for now I've promised myself no more kits until I start to reduce the stash. Moving houses (and countries) made me realise how many I have! :D
This is the Temperate Sea Scheme. I'm not very familiar with Coastal Command schemes to be be honest. The Airfix Wellington looks like it has a white underside and sides, but the top does look like this scheme.
Comment or no comment, either way is good on my end. I would like to know how the decals( lnstrament panel) handle in your opinion? Great build, love the sea hurricane.
@@ModelNerd I guess it's not to over flood the market... Same thing happened to the FB11 sea fury. It also means the mould won't be knackered in 10 years aswell. It'll come back just annoyed that's gone quick ish?

Thanks Roger, that's really useful feedback.
I normally prefer commentary, but I have to admit that your choice of music was very relaxing and I enjoyed the video immensely. Great job.
Thanks Richard, much appreciated.

Thanks Ted, I really appreciate any and all feedback.
Much prefer a running commentary as opposed to model-building muzak playing in the background.
Thanks for the feedback Henry - it's all appreciated.
@@ModelNerd I am also firmly in the preferring commentary camp.
Beautiful build
Thanks mate
Speak!
Nice build. Got the Hurricane from the Airfix 75th Battle of Britain set just drying right now on by bench!
Sweet!
A nice result and an enjoyable video. I prefer the commentary but appreciate that takes time. Whatever route you take won’t deter me from watching your videos in the future.
Thanks Simon. I appreciate your kind comments and feedback.
Brilliant, great to see a build that's not over weathered for a change. 😎👌
Thank you Jac
Gotta love the Hurrican and it's Sea Varient as some of my family worked for Hawker. Personally I prefer commentary as YT is on as I paint.
Thanks mate, appreciate the feedback. It seems commentary is overwhelmingly the preferred option :)
I did music and limited commentary on my first two "model build" videos, then went for full commentary, and have found it much more engaging and rewarding!
Yeah, I did a similar thing on my first videos, then gradually found myself talking the whole time. Thanks for the feedback mate.
Very good end result. I like it.
Thanks Brett

Thanks for the feedback Mark. Yes, volume levels with both are often an issue. But, hopefully not something that can't be fixed.
Great job.
Thanks Joshua
Cool. I love hawker hurricanes
Me too. I don't think this will be the last one I build.
Commentate away, but most importantly, do what feels best for you
Thanks - and a very good point!
Awesome video man. it really helped me with my Airfix Hurricane
Thanks mate
Looks to be a nice kit. Good OOB details and everything seems to fit. Well done. No opinion regarding commentary or background music.
Thanks!

Superb Hurricane airplane , 1/48 scale .Great details and excelent painting ...fantastic camo și realistic...👍
Thanks Ovidiu
Nice video dude!
Thanks mate
*Nicely done, Airfix gives a lot of details in his new kits, you built a beautiful model OOB! 👍👏👏👏*
Thanks mate. Yes, I've never had a bad kit from their recent releases (though you do have to be careful because a few are just reboxes of very old kits).
@@ModelNerd Yes, always remember that Airfix has reboxed old kits, so take time to look at the contents of boxes. 👍
Very nice job, a beautiful model.
Thanks :)
It's one sexy bird, you did it justice great build. 👊🏻
Thanks Vasili
Fantastic work, love it.
Thank you Henry

Beautiful build! Looks like a great kit. I enjoyed your video! What kind of paints do you use?
Thanks. In this case, Tamiya acrylics all the way.
I use regular Tamiya cement because I can't stand the smell of the extra thin stuff.
Looks really nice :)
Thanks mate. I really like this particular camo scheme.
@@ModelNerd Yes and with the masking Putty you get these nice clean edges on the sheme 🙂👍
Which masking putty you used there?
It was just regular Blu-Tac.
Is the camo paint colours on This plane the same for RAF costal command planes, like the Wellington from airfix?

Hi,it's nice work and good looking as usual. : )
Thank you mate
I vote for narrated...
Thanks Nikki.
Fought against the German Luftwaffe Hitler's Luftwaffe.
Why on earth they removed this from the range is beyond me...
They do seem to have very short runs on some kits, don't they?
