I've played guitar all my life am 38 and have made music my career. I just want to say affordable guitars today are really amazing. When I was young I would never have dreamed of such a good guitar.
i ordered thit today, should arrive by the end of the week. i still have a bill lawrence l500xl pickup which i will install in this. i've been playing for 15 years now, i started on a jackson js30rr back in 2005, bought it for 300€ back in the day, after a job at a restaurant during summer break to afford it. this one was 200€ and i'm amazed what good quality instruments one can get for these quite low amounts of money. i have guitars in the 4 figure pricerange, which are nicer of course and better quality, but just to rock out, maybe play a private gig at a friends bbq in summer without worrying about damaging some expensive instrument, these are great and from a pure playability standpoint nowhere worse than the fancier stuff. the necks and bodies are made on the same cnc mills as the more expensive ones, so that's no point of concern.
They're probably for real since this guitar is for beginners or low budget people. By the way, probably one of the best guitars you could get for the money.
@@EliseoCaporale Hey i just want to ask you if i can play songs like holiday and basket case by green day on this guitar?I might buy one but it sounds too heavy.
@@yousefkhashab8703 Hey, you can play anything with this guitar. But it's more aimed at Metal and Hard Rock. That kind of High gain Punk is playable anyway.
I like these types of guitar review way more. I like to see how the guitar looks right off the box. I know you changed Little things but that can be changed by anyone. Also you didn't use any fancy gears to make the sound look good. But even then I liked the sound of it. So I am definitely gonna purchase it.
I thought that to be a very good review. I just got one of these, and exactly the one you have, the oil finish. Look forward to picking up where i left off. People say its an easy guitar to play, and like you i too am going to switch out for heavier gauge strings. Thanks man.
Fun fact: I ordered this guitar on a recommendation from my classmates before watching a review, but looks like I made a good choice. Should arrive tomorrow
Thanks for the review man! I am 14 and have been playing since the fifth grade (8th grade now). I have 2 acoustic guitars and have been looking for a low budget electric guitar and this is only 200$ so I looked up a review for it on google and this was the first to come up. Anyways, sounds pretty good!
Thanks for the review. I am definitely looking to own a JS22. By the way, is the natural finish an arch top like the other color variants? It kinda looks like a flat top.
I've got the Satin black dinky. A nice guitar. It plays dirty better than clean. Run it through a fuzz face into a Marshall and it cracks. Just watch abusing the whammy bar. It will go out of tune. For the money it rocks.
Guitar is poor quality. Buy an ibanez or epiphone instead. There's so many issues with mine , there not even worth £100 in my opinion. Fret buzz is bad, wood is really dried out with tool marks everywhere, tremolo flaps around everywhere, cheap quality tunners fret wire is really high there's really not much timber in this guitar the neck would snap like a twig very susceptible to bending with humidity changes , cheap plastic nut, squint volume knob, other finish issues aswell.
I want to buy this guitar for songs that are tuned 4 half-steps down(e.g. for songs from In Flames or Breaking Benjamin). Is this possible without major things to adjust?
I think these companies finally realize that even entry level if they give quality the customer will buy again I know I will Jackson dope Jeff Hanneman
How do i attach and use the whammy bar? It seem stiff when i installed it to my js22.. mine was made in china and its horrible. The action is not set properly.
If the action is set poorly, that's no surprise when it comes to import guitars, and occasionally high-end local guitars. Though, they may have set it up before shipping it to where you're from, (I assume the USA or near,) it will most likely still be different when it gets there. It's because of the climate. Also from what I've read in other comments about this guitar in other videos, try loosening the screws that hold the spring plate thing of the trem cavity.
I looked everywhere but couldn’t find the thickness of the neck. How would you compare it to the Ibanez Wizard? Is noticeably thicker or barely noticeable?
Im gonna buy this but i heard that this guitar goes out of tune often. Due to it doesnt have fix bridge. So is it true that it goes out of tune very often ?
Lol I have the LP 100 and i want the JS22 and i think that the Epiphone sounds pretty good even when its made for Alternative and other "slower" styles than Metal and Shred. And for the Jackson, i didnt try any jackson but i saw a lot of videos and i like the distortion on this monster :v
Markus-Matti Turunen yeah I’ve had it in Drop C for SOAD songs, really it just depends on your string gauge, I run a heavier gauge for lower tunings, so that gives me decent playability even at low tuning
Jed Teng with this bridge its really meant for pushing down towards the neck so the note drops, pulling back on the bridge (raising the note) would be where a Floyd Rose bridge is best, due to it being a floating design with 2 locking points so the strings don’t go out of tune, they are more pricey unfortunately
I have a guitar that has floyd rose and its really hard to tune ,I spend my time tweaking and tweaking, now im starting to like the design of that guitar Im think of getting that and just sell my other guitar..🙄
Jed Teng its not too bad once you get the strings sorta in tune and have good tension from the nut up to the headstock, the pain part is using the fine tuners to dial in the exact tuning, they’re pretty touchy sometimes

I’ve owned this guitar for over a year and a half... trust me one of the best beginner guitars or just a guitar to gig with!
I am going to buy it. Every information helps. Thank u
this vs cort kx100 which one will be good for an absolute beginner
Especially gigging if you don't want to pay a crap ton for replacements!

Just bought this used and love the neck and the overall playability. Good demo!
I bought this guitar and switched the stock pickups to the Seymour Duncan Jeff Loomis Signatures... it's a freaking beast now!
Was is difficult to change them over? I would be worried about buggering it up.
I got my JS22 in white, I have many guitars, this one is great. great sound, great neck, great value, you wont be dissapointed. 9/10
..........The couple of reviews I've seen of this have a pretty darn good sounding guitar....
I honestly don’t know if the questions here are for real or people just trolling

Got my next guitar on order! Have to wait a few months but its a new JS32! Sticking with Jacksons!

I have the same guitar in black and the same amp --- good combo for the beginner.

Strings are wound backwards

this is a good review cuz i have ur same amp and i wanna get this guitar so i can really hear what it would sound like on metal 2000

Dude 25 seconds in and i already liked it
Its actually not a versatile guitar at all. Its quite muddled and distorted even on clean setting
Any idea which locking tuners would fit in this guitar with the no or the least amount of modification?
Them strings are totally put on the wrong way at the machine heads.
Great video! It stay in tune well?
Belíssima guitarra

Look at your children dying

Look at the people crying......
And no. Jackson guitars does not set up your guitar. That's ridiculous.
Is it good for rock and hard rock??
Luis Basurto its best for hard rock but you can go as far as playing classical and clean channel material with it just fine
Luis Basurto yea it is bro super
It's a Jackson they're made for hard rock.

Wen u say "adjust the saddles" in what way did u mean ?
Like the action up or down
Or the screwes on the back of the bridge on each saddle???
How does this guitar sound for punk? Does it sound too metal when you try to play punk that isn't super hard?
Rose of Pain?

I have a Satan black one...💯🎸💪🔥
Im gonna buy this but i heard that this guitar goes out of tune often. Due to it doesnt have fix bridge. So is it true that it goes out of tune very often ?
You have 2 options: locking tuners if you want to use the tremolo or something to lock the bridge if you want to experiment with alternate tunings.

Comparing the Jackson JS22 to the Epiphone les paul 100, which is better for thrash metal and shredding?
imo the jackson's, compound radius, jumbo frets and upper fret accessibility make it better for metal and shred than the lp

Jackson by far, epip scale length is what will do you in as far as metal / thrash
The clean is extremely Fendery
Hmm, I wonder why? 😂😂😂🙄
what is the width on the neck?
$266? You got ripped off
How much did you buy ??
Dude where did you order it from online?
Don Slick You can find it on Amazon
That bridge model??
Does it come with a whammy bar or not
Yes

Is this guitar good for country music like Hank Williams, Johnny Cash, Iron Maiden?
Mark Adams Jackson’s are mainly for metal and rock I’d go with a fender or Gibson if that’s your kind of music
Yes Iron maiden is my favorite country band
Can I use this guitar on D standar tuning ?
PanosLag LowBap all depends on your setup, string gauge, and how you position you bridge saddles. Every guitar has its own unique boundaries
Of course, you might just need a higher string gauge
do you know if all the dka ones are mahogany bodied or is just the natural finish one?
Pretty sure they have basswood bodies
The natural is a type of mahogany
Whats the difference between js22 and j22dka??
This one is actually Nato wood which is some kind of mahgony i guess but the rest is poplar.
does it come with a whammy bar
HeavyMetalSongs yes

What kind of bridge is that?
Jed Teng Jackson 2-point fulcrum Tremolo bridge
Can you do normal whammy stuff with that, are you able to pull up and push down?
