For one oil rig you need hundreds of wind towers bigger than an oil rig plus miles of power cables. Not the forget the oil rig size power substations to collect the manage the electricity. Industrialization of the seas to save the environment is going to ruin the ocean ecology.

In the uk one single wind farm has cost us $12,000,000,000 and over its life time it’ll save 0.0002ppm co2
Each turbine has a diesel engine to start the rotors turning. There is no mention of co2 emissions created during construction and decommissioning.
Are windfarm worth the cost, it would be far cheaper to fix any damage a slight increase in co2 would do. As we know co2 has a cooling effect in the upper atmosphere.

This has been in the works for 2 decades. Has been an idea for half a century. And in this same part of the country we are seeing effects of climate change whenever we have a large rainstorm (no larger than normal although they seem more often) that is resulting in coastal flooding that has never happened before except during Nor'easters during the winter. Hopefully these engineers are taking into account more than expected rise in sea level as all projections have consistently been less than what has occurred; and we as a species need to stop overpopulating Earth while also reversing the damage we have caused and continue to cause to our home before it's too late, because this is the only home we have. There is no other Earth, and building bases on the moon and Mars are not a long term solution, require too many resources from this planet to build properly for ling term use and will most likely require far too many resources from Earth to sustain

The number one problem of onshore wind farms is their beating hush noise makes normal life around them impossible especially trying to sleep. Fishermen in France protested against offshore wind farms because when operating their noise in the water chases all the fish away. Offshore wind farms cost about double per MW more than onshore wind farms which have always caused electric rates to go up. The pubic duty of an electric utility is to have electric rates as low as reasonably possible because much of the economy is supported by electricity.
Global warming was officially stated at 1.1°C in 1991 and 1.06°C in 2022. There is no mechanism that would allow greenhouse gas behavior to cause global warming. The back of the United Nation's IPCC science report states it took its greenhouse gas samples at 20,000 meters altitude where it is common high school level knowledge there is no greenhouse radiant energy. This is typical practice for deceptive marketing to state legal data transparency protecting the perpetrators from fraud prosecution.
Earth's greenhouse effect is frequently used as a primary example to high school students of a system always in saturation from the strong greenhouse gas water vapor absorbing all the greenhouse radiant energy from the earth with greenhouse gases within 20 meters of the surface that is all around us everyday and can't have its overall effect changed. There is no further greenhouse radiant energy to interact with greenhouse gases. At 1% average tropospheric water vapor over 99% of earth’s greenhouse effect is from water vapor. Water vapor would hold earth's greenhouse effect in saturation if it were the only greenhouse gas in the atmosphere.
C3 plants the majority of plant life on earth would be strongly invigorated by atmospheric CO2 levels of 1200 ppm about three times what they are today greatly greening the planet.

Create some jobs as power runners instead of long lines to shore, fishing farm maintenance, harvesters, processors & use waste for natural fertilizers for land. Fish farmed can be an organic barrier to disapate sound (as can large kelp beds). Kelp, seaweed, and algae are great oxygen producers & C02 storers. We're deep-sixing offshore wind in NJ USA. The NJ 1100MW plan of 5000 1000' tall turbines are too destructive to the ocean bed and creatures especially such as clams, scallops and vitally important horseshoe crabs, ocean mammals, to ruining the view shed depressing seashore revenue and shore property values, to our small business commercial fishing industry, to our coastal military threat detection radar systems and radar guided missile systems, to air and sea navigation radar, to reducing the natural shore breeze creating hotter shore climate and reduced surf wave heights and unknown unintended consequences to the environment by changing the natural air flows. For the ones far out at sea, the HVDC converters employed to run the power cables to shore warms the ocean by cycling 8Million gallons of 90+degF water per day, working completely against climate change wiping out all sea life in that area. And all this for no material improvement to what is claimed to be necessary to help stop climate change. The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management states in Environmental Impact Reports (EIS) "there will be no collective impact on global warming as a result of offshore wind projects" Vineyard Wind 1 Project Final EIS.
The US 2050 86MW Plan of estimated 7200 turbines and 358 substations containing estimate 117M gallons of industrial fluids and 3.5M lbs of SF6 puts the coastal areas at risk of catastrophic pollution if any large number of them are destroyed by self-destruction, severe storms or acts of war. There is nothing good about offshore wind. Its a lowsy expensive source of energy pretending to be green. And fiscal estimates are looking like it could be a fraction of their investment to put a solar photovoltaic system plus battery storage on every suitable house in NJ and save everyone 60-70% of their monthly electric bill costs and that WILL last over 30 years (if not indefinitely at lower outputs) instead of committing huge fortunes to the offshore investment that will raise NJ electric rates several multiples per month.
And that ain't the half of it.
