With all due respect, in order to make a healthier comparison, you gotta test the mics on various frequency ranges. This comparison has only covered the low mids considering the male speaking voice.
I guessed right. Rode is known for being "too clear". I own NT1000 and I'm used to that metallic sounding highs. Still, had I more money, I wouldn't go for either of those.
It sounds like the NT1000 picks up more room reverb so your room would need more sound treatment where as NEUMANN U87 already sounds like the room has been treated for reflections, for the price the NT1000 does sound good though but the Neumann sounds more professional in my opinion.
I have had an NT1000 for years - it's fantastic. Customer service is first-class too, with a 10 year guarantee.
We love it! Thanks for commenting!
"I think the darker one would be the cheaper one." Must not have used a lot of cheap condensers : -)
Sometimes is all about mixer good setting....Good job rode
You guys are high.
The low end is what makes a mic good.
Use to own an nt1000 and recognized that sound with no doubt 👌
Good ear!

What would you go for if I may ask? :)

What does he mean with expensiver mics are better to EQ ?
Soo can I buy your black Nt1000?! Serious question
What country/region are you in? Maybe I can find a reseller for you.
Sorry for delay! I’m in USA, Connecticut
Torbjörn coolest guy in the business 😎
Truth!
Rode NT 1000 lacks one end or the other. NT1, NT2a, NTK, K2 are better than NT 1000.

If you would speak more or sing or piano, the difference will be more.
I'm sorry, but I'm just not happy until I see the DISLIKE COUNTER! Blah, blah, blah...
