honestly hexagon i feel like even if volition did continue where saints row 2 left off people would still be unhappy and it would be hard to please old school fans still and heres why. at the ending of the DLC dex left stilwater and escaped because he knew how deadly playa was after all him and playa did some dangerous jobs in saints row 1 so he KNOWS the playa is a walking tank thats a master with a gun he KNOWS his security wont mean jack to the playa so he ran off somewhere else to safe his skin. thats where the problem starts we could either forget about dex and continue to play in stilwater which would piss off people like me who want revenge on dex for making all the saints turn on each other after 1 OR we could go after dex BUT we would have to leave stilwater behind to chase dex and alot of people would not like the map change just like how we dont like 3 or reboots map change. so in a way volition put themselves in a lose lose situation. now if we could start out in stilwater and go to a different map to scrap up info and find dex then go back to stilwater after we kill him then that would be great BUT technology is not that advanced yet to render 2 fully open world maps with peds and shops and all that even if the strongest PC tried doing it the PC would have trouble running that as well we are just not there yet. so i guess in the end the saints row 1 and 2 fans were screwed either way.
American here. Yes, Demolition Derbies are a thing, though they almost never do it indoors because the exhaust fumes have nowhere to go. Plus, you'd need an entire city block to have enough room. It's pretty much an exclusively outdoor event. The biggest reason for these events is because a car is at the end of its life, and the owners want to send it off with a bang rather than a whimper. It's a celebration of the vehicles, going out in style. It's not always the case, but is usually the reason a car is put into it. No, the cars don't blow up, and specifically to avoid that, almost every component but the engine is removed. There's no upholstery to catch fire, there's nothing in the dash that can come loose or break, there's no windows that can blow out and cut anyone... They even replace the gas tank with something that will only hold enough gas to run the car for at most maybe 10 minutes so that even if there's a catastrophic failure, there's almost no fuel to catch fire. Safety is priority 1, spectacle is priority 2.
Saints Row 3 I think is still good, sure it doesn't have those hard core moments like SR 2 did, but the humor more then makes up for it. If I want something a bit serious, I'll play SR 2, but if I just want to do crazy shit, I'll pop in SR 3, I still even love SR 4, Zinyack's a fun villain, the jokes and references to pop culture and especially to the rest of the Saints Row games makes SR 4 fun to replay and try to find the references I didn't notice before. I think the biggest problem for SR 4 just has to be narrative, where they blew up the Earth. This forever fucked up the series to the point that the spinoff took Gat to Hell, I think the reboot may be where they truly drop the ball, if the game turns out to be Woke and shitty like many movies and some games today are. But I still will always love all 5 of the OG games and will keep replaying them, even if the Reboot is total shit, by the time of Gat Outta Hell, you feel close to these gang members like they're you're actual friends.
If you like Saint's Row 4's gameplay, Prototype 2 does the serious world + outrageous humor thing really well. Also serious superpowers instead of matrix hacks. I think SR4 copied alot from Prototype 1 in terms of traversal and the floating blue orb collectables. Arguably an improvement but still

But if you played the game extensively then you'd know that in the very last cutscene, the boss says to Julius "I learned it's better to be in charged then to be a little bitch that keeps his mouth shut" or something along the lines of that
Demolition Derby is a real thing here, though it has fallen out of fashion a bit, atleast with the general populous. Speed is greatly limited at these events and the terrain in the rallies are usually pretty slippery though because they aren't trying to kill people. And there are usually more safety straps on the drivers than at Leather & Lace.
It's a thing in Europe as well, particularly in Scandinavian countries, where they race around a track and smash eachother to pieces. I think it's called "banger racing".
I only been playing Saints Row 1 and 2 for 2 years but I like to consider it my childhood despite me never playing the 2 games. (ESPECIALLY Saints Row 2.) I unfortunately started with 3, but came to the realization that both 3 and 4 are garbage several years later.
Your sr2 disk was indeed scratched by your disk drive. It usually happens when you accidentally tilt your 360 while its reading the disk had it happen to my fifa disk. It is not a defect of sr2 disks
Moved my Xbox with a game in it when I was a kid not knowing anything and ruined a game of mine. Put like these rings around my disk and disk wouldn’t work no matter what after that. All cause I picked up the Xbox and sat it down a couple feet away
Was playing Saints row 2 on PS now the past week and I forgot how much I love that game!!! I hate when people call it a cheap clone of GTA because it definitely has its own identity and feel.

The graphics were definitely downgraded, I don't think that's an unpopular opinion at all. Hell, if you look at mods for the PC version, there are a lot that try to emulate the first game's lighting and even directly port textures and other assets. I think performance concerns were a major contributing factor; I haven't played either of the two console versions of SR2 in over a decade, but I recently replayed SR1 and had frequent framerate dips into single digits. Like I said, it's been over a decade now, but I remember both the PS3 and 360 versions performing significantly better than the first game. I mean, as bad as the boat scene is, I had a lot of moments in SR1 where I was getting that level of performance just driving between missions.
I don't know if I would say Kazuo was "wise" necessarily, He struck me as being just as impetuous and hotheaded as his son; with how he blundered into a turf war with the Saints without even taking the time to consider why the Boss had been kicking his son around so effortlessly up to that point. EDIT: and I also disagree with your analysis of hitman and chop shop. In SR1 those activities were borderline unplayable, I'll give you that. But the changes made for the sequel made them much more interesting and engaging. Doubly so when I learned that you could activate the activity from the pause screen after going to o the initial location, rathe than having to travel all the way back to the activity hub every time you wanted to take on a contract.

Well actually Sr1 originally started out as a Punisher game, but Volition lost the license, and it was reworked into the game you see today. Also yes, I remember the original Red Faction quite well, too bad that game never got a proper sequel, a damn shame.

Instead, we got an online only FPS on PS3 that isn't even available to purchase now. 2001 was an excellent year for FPS games. Halo CE, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Aliens Vs Predator 2, Red Faction, Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis, and Ghost Recon all released that year. Miss those kind of games now.

Thankfully there is a fan-made patch that fixes the vehicle controls, but it doesn't really fix it, it simply makes vehicles less responsive compared to super jerky steering in unpatched PC version. 31:41 - Personally I find Hitman activity pretty fun, just the process of figuring out when and what you have to do to bait out the target is what it makes it so fun to me (and the best part is that you sometimes can randomly stumble upon your target during story missions too).
I'm not an OG fan, I started from saints row The Third and liked it alot, then I played 4 and liked the gameplay and the powers. But when I played Saints row 2 and watched gameplay of the first ( I don't have saints row 1 on my xbox YET) I was shoked because the story was AMAZING compared to the sucessors, It had a fuckin direction. I won't blame volition because they were trying to become something diferent than a "GTA clone" and look what they had to do for another saints row, Just wanted to share this because the saints row reddit is deleting every criticism about the reboot.
something you missed is that when you beat each of the different factions fight club missions, you actually unlock their fighting style which changes your hand to hand combat attacks and finishers. honestly the best activity completion rewards.
That scratch isn’t from a faulty disc drive it happens to all disks if you move your 360 while the disc is playing. They even put a warning sticker on the newer 360’s.
That ring scratch around the disk has happened to me a few times when I had my 360 and I would accidentally tip it over when it was vertically standing up. Yea I made it an effort to always have it lying flat so that shit wouldn't happen lol
also your scratched SR2 probably still works in an Xbox One & Series X, since the backwards compatibility thing just downloads the game, and never actually copies assets from the disc

Came here after just recently finishing the game! Thank you for giving me a perspective from an older player's point of view with a good balance of objectivity and subjectivity. I must say so myself that the filter did irk me at first. Didn't understand why it needed to have one either. Like I get it from another favorite of mine which was GTA IV. That green tint complimented its serious tone and urban hell setting. Whereas in here, well.. I couldn't really place my finger on why Volition decided on this. Must have been some trend during this period? The most reasonable thing I could give to why they probably did it was that could show the environmental impact of what Ultor did to Stilwater. Their works on the Saints Row district was something that _perhaps_ gave the city lots of pollution and stuff. Sounds like a huge reach, but that's what it felt like for me. Possibly the best way to explain why it has that certain tinge.
That altered ultor board room presentation was beat for beat perfect. Didn't even start the video yet. I just needed to give you props for that cause you encapsulated the confident and smug nature of Vogel perfectly.

Ain't gonna lie, was kinda hoping for the reboot to go back to streets like SR2 since they showed the graffiti on the wall. The reboot just feels and looks like Saints Row The Third with missing content added on it, not Saying SR3 was a bad game it was straight.
On the topic of the visuals, I recall reading somewhere (but can't for the life of me remember where) that the hideous washed out yellow filter over the game was supposed to have something to do with depicting the heatwave in Stilwater that a few NPCs mention. At this point I'm so used to the way the Gentlemen of the Row mod on PC tones down that overlay that going back to the console version always serves as a stark reminder of just how ugly it was.

They mention the fact that your character miraculously speaks in SR:2. Multiple times. Many characters note your change in appearance from the first game along with the fact that your character talks. In fact Johnny gats girlfriend Aisha, comments on it specifically in one of the prologue missions. Also, Your character while in the character creation menu says, “that mute shit was getting old” with the hood sounding male voice selected.
I dont know if it's mentioned in 2 or 3 but I remember the Boss being asked about not talking before the coma. They answer plainly that they did not have the confidence to speak up, and started to speak after the coma because they were in charge and needed to. Mandela effect?
It’s in saints row 3 or maybe 4, also yeah that makes sense, ever since Julius was the boss/leader of the saints the player never really felt the need to talk only to act, but obviously if you are an leader you will have to speak more As people won’t just follow an leader just because of their appearance.

my biggest problem with 2 is just how easy it is to get infinite respect, i mean i didn't play all the activities the first time i played this, so i never actually reached infinite respect, but replaying it and doing the some activities to at least level 3, enough to earn a reward, on top of the gaming giving you respect for doing pretty much anything, yeah, i'm already at respect level 40 and i'm only 41% through the campaign. i mean i guess it's one less thing to worry about, but once you're there, especially that quickly, it just kind of feels like one less thing you're working for
This saints row series is my introduction to your channel, and I love it so far. Great work with your writing, editing, and genuine thorough reviews. Also, edit: You mentioned your SR2 disk being scratched, my family's 360 did the same thing to some of our disks, but we noticed it was only when it was oriented in the vertical position, and that's because it was more prone to being vibrated around with kids running around it. Basically, if there was a big disruption around it it would shake the reader and scratch the disk like that.
For the demolition derby question, yes they do exist. However it's not as extreme as it sounds. It's mainly battered, near broken cars crashing into each other at a relatively slow pace as to not hurt the drivers and are eliminated if the car is too damage to continue. i.e. the engine dies or a wheel falls off. Also they usually take place in small dirt arenas typically located in county fairs or someplace like that.
Did you know. With the samurai sword with both rt and lt if you hold them down you do a special swing but what you don’t know if you hit a regular swing you do some finisher. But some people use it again like RT + RT to get a cool finisher and LT + LT and also get a cool finisher. You can mix it up and get a different finisher (I discovered it last week and I was friggin amazed) LT + RT and RT + LT are there too. I recommend go playing the game and execute this on a npc walking by

Ultor has never cared much about the poor, working class. You can see their methodology only gets worse with time in 2075, when the first Red Faction takes place, another game made by Volition five years before Saints Row 1 came out.
If there's one thing I dislike about the character customisation, it's that both male and female models share the same body proportions as each other, meaning women have the same proportions as men do. It makes the female characters look somewhat weird, especially with their longer torsos and shorter legs, and I was kind of glad Volition fixed that with Saints Row 3.
The cool thing about this game that it marketed itself as an alternative to GTA 4 Tired from the dark and realistic themes in GTA 4 ? Hop into saints row and blow shit up
Being a huge fan of it as well it was really refreshing, I enjoyed it just as much and Roman having a cameo that was named after the dude who cucked him with his girl was really hilarious 😭 They're both absolutely brilliant games (with a green tint that makes them look like an urban hell but stil amazing anyway)

Our disc for Saints row two had the exact same issue, with the ring being burnt into it. You could launch the game no problems, but after playing for a little bit or driving under any overpasses, the game would freeze
I love the music, story, game play, and even the weapons. I hated the collectable to 100% the game. Saints Row 3 fixed that problem as well as 4 but made tons of new problems in the process. The game didn’t really help you find the 5 annoying collectibles: CD’s, Spray paint locations, secret location, stunt jumps, and mail packages. Each set of those collectibles took at least 3 hours alone. What is worst is to get the collectibles with a friend in Co-op. The DLCS or surprisedly fun and worth the money when they first came out and I am only talking about story DLC’s. There was a surprisingly advanced multiplayer system. You could make you own online gang, design logo, have online and gang rankings, make custom actions, and had an early console social media system. It did feel like the game was souly design for the Xbox 360.

I hate Heli Assault in every SR game, not because I don't like flying but because it's just. So. Damn. Boring. There's literally no challenge in it, on PC at least you just put your cursor/crosshair over things and they die. You have all the time in the world to do it and the only way you can fail is if you fly into a building. In SR3 there are a few levels where you can't even fail if you go AFK. By the way you're wrong about racing in SR2, not all races are time attacks, some of them have actual opponents but I agree that they all suck, mainly because of how bad the driving mechanics are in this game. I'm surprised you haven't mentioned that, they're especially horrendous on PC where the controls are also broken.
Demolition Derby: Yes, it's real. It originally started in America as two people playing "chicken" - driving directly at each other and see who swerves first. After too many people died, people found out "hey, I just wanna see cars crash. What if we just crashed into the cars?" So they did that and..... kept dying. The next thought was "How do we smash cars and not die?" Well, monster trucks..... or robot cars. And now, we're here
Demo derbies are real, but obviously without the exploding cars. They aren't common like most sports, but you can find one if you go looking hard enough. The cars get modified so they can take repeated hits without the car catching fire.
Quite late answer but maybe you will see it. Xbox 360 had a problem with disc drive. Sometimes when you accidentally move a console while playing game it will damage the disc. Happened to me when I took my Xbox and GTA 4 to play at friends house, his dad accidentally hit the console and my copy of GTA 4 looked like your copy of saint row 2. You can still get that copy of the game working all you have to do is drop it to local disc repair service. It took 2 or 3 runs in machine but they managed to get it to working stage and it cost me about 5 euros instead having to buy a new copy.
Saints Row 2's metal playlist is probably the series' best, they're all practically bangers with a few undesirables. Whereas SR3 half the list is garbage tier.
In the process of playing SR2 and I'm on that Ultor mission and I have it on easy, yet the helicopter keeps destroying me with one shot of their rocket, and the fact that it's a homing rocket, you can't even dodge it, so I honestly just stopped there for now.
You've got an interesting take on the missions for each gang. I really liked the Ronin but find the rest very meh and predictable. But I understand the sons of samedi observations.
The racing one. There are other ai to drive against The suburbs, somewhere in uh the city middle area and I think there’s other few. I know there’s opponents maybe go to each one? Or maybe there’s a difference in the game? I just played the game and spent a lot of time on racing

Moved my Xbox with a game in it when I was a kid not knowing anything and ruined a game of mine. Put like these rings around my disk and disk wouldn’t work no matter what after that. All cause I picked up the Xbox and sat it down a couple feet away

I do believe SR2 discs are made cheaper or something, they seem to crack and break far easier than any other disc I've seen.

Was playing Saints row 2 on PS now the past week and I forgot how much I love that game!!! I hate when people call it a cheap clone of GTA because it definitely has its own identity and feel.

2) It's kinda funny, but you can actually see how the level of series' seriousness decreases with each next game. @@burnttamale Apparently they gave it to the modder who made the gentlemen of the row mod because volition have said themselves they dont have the rights to even work on their old games, and then that modder died, so I dont think were ever getting the patch. RIP IdolNinja

The graphics were definitely downgraded, I don't think that's an unpopular opinion at all. Hell, if you look at mods for the PC version, there are a lot that try to emulate the first game's lighting and even directly port textures and other assets. I think performance concerns were a major contributing factor; I haven't played either of the two console versions of SR2 in over a decade, but I recently replayed SR1 and had frequent framerate dips into single digits. Like I said, it's been over a decade now, but I remember both the PS3 and 360 versions performing significantly better than the first game. I mean, as bad as the boat scene is, I had a lot of moments in SR1 where I was getting that level of performance just driving between missions.
I don't know if I would say Kazuo was "wise" necessarily, He struck me as being just as impetuous and hotheaded as his son; with how he blundered into a turf war with the Saints without even taking the time to consider why the Boss had been kicking his son around so effortlessly up to that point.
EDIT: and I also disagree with your analysis of hitman and chop shop. In SR1 those activities were borderline unplayable, I'll give you that. But the changes made for the sequel made them much more interesting and engaging. Doubly so when I learned that you could activate the activity from the pause screen after going to o the initial location, rathe than having to travel all the way back to the activity hub every time you wanted to take on a contract.

Well actually Sr1 originally started out as a Punisher game, but Volition lost the license, and it was reworked into the game you see today.

2001 was an excellent year for FPS games. Halo CE, Return to Castle Wolfenstein, Aliens Vs Predator 2, Red Faction, Operation Flashpoint Cold War Crisis, and Ghost Recon all released that year. Miss those kind of games now.

Thankfully there is a fan-made patch that fixes the vehicle controls, but it doesn't really fix it, it simply makes vehicles less responsive compared to super jerky steering in unpatched PC version.

I'm not an OG fan, I started from saints row The Third and liked it alot, then I played 4 and liked the gameplay and the powers. But when I played Saints row 2 and watched gameplay of the first ( I don't have saints row 1 on my xbox YET) I was shoked because the story was AMAZING compared to the sucessors, It had a fuckin direction. I won't blame volition because they were trying to become something diferent than a "GTA clone" and look what they had to do for another saints row, Just wanted to share this because the saints row reddit is deleting every criticism about the reboot.
something you missed is that when you beat each of the different factions fight club missions, you actually unlock their fighting style which changes your hand to hand combat attacks and finishers. honestly the best activity completion rewards.

I loved using the Ronin Fighting style for Fight Club. Would always wait till I unlocked it before playing that activity.

That scratch isn’t from a faulty disc drive it happens to all disks if you move your 360 while the disc is playing. They even put a warning sticker on the newer 360’s.

That ring scratch around the disk has happened to me a few times when I had my 360 and I would accidentally tip it over when it was vertically standing up. Yea I made it an effort to always have it lying flat so that shit wouldn't happen lol

Yeah I just bought a pretty scratched up Orange Box and it downloaded fine to xone but I'm expecting it may have issues playing on my 360.

Came here after just recently finishing the game! Thank you for giving me a perspective from an older player's point of view with a good balance of objectivity and subjectivity. I must say so myself that the filter did irk me at first. Didn't understand why it needed to have one either. Like I get it from another favorite of mine which was GTA IV. That green tint complimented its serious tone and urban hell setting. Whereas in here, well.. I couldn't really place my finger on why Volition decided on this. Must have been some trend during this period? The most reasonable thing I could give to why they probably did it was that could show the environmental impact of what Ultor did to Stilwater. Their works on the Saints Row district was something that _perhaps_ gave the city lots of pollution and stuff. Sounds like a huge reach, but that's what it felt like for me. Possibly the best way to explain why it has that certain tinge.
While SR1 is the most realistic and sown to earth, SR2 is the most serious and down to earth story and cutseen wise
The Saints Row series deserved better. Shame to see Volition squander such a franchise

Characters in SR1 looked a lot better, every character in SR2 looks like it came out of Rick & Morty.

Ain't gonna lie, was kinda hoping for the reboot to go back to streets like SR2 since they showed the graffiti on the wall. The reboot just feels and looks like Saints Row The Third with missing content added on it, not Saying SR3 was a bad game it was straight.

On the topic of the visuals, I recall reading somewhere (but can't for the life of me remember where) that the hideous washed out yellow filter over the game was supposed to have something to do with depicting the heatwave in Stilwater that a few NPCs mention. At this point I'm so used to the way the Gentlemen of the Row mod on PC tones down that overlay that going back to the console version always serves as a stark reminder of just how ugly it was.

They mention the fact that your character miraculously speaks in SR:2. Multiple times. Many characters note your change in appearance from the first game along with the fact that your character talks. In fact Johnny gats girlfriend Aisha, comments on it specifically in one of the prologue missions. Also, Your character while in the character creation menu says, “that mute shit was getting old” with the hood sounding male voice selected.
I dont know if it's mentioned in 2 or 3 but I remember the Boss being asked about not talking before the coma. They answer plainly that they did not have the confidence to speak up, and started to speak after the coma because they were in charge and needed to.

It’s in saints row 3 or maybe 4, also yeah that makes sense, ever since Julius was the boss/leader of the saints the player never really felt the need to talk only to act, but obviously if you are an leader you will have to speak more As people won’t just follow an leader just because of their appearance.

my biggest problem with 2 is just how easy it is to get infinite respect, i mean i didn't play all the activities the first time i played this, so i never actually reached infinite respect, but replaying it and doing the some activities to at least level 3, enough to earn a reward, on top of the gaming giving you respect for doing pretty much anything, yeah, i'm already at respect level 40 and i'm only 41% through the campaign. i mean i guess it's one less thing to worry about, but once you're there, especially that quickly, it just kind of feels like one less thing you're working for

Also, edit: You mentioned your SR2 disk being scratched, my family's 360 did the same thing to some of our disks, but we noticed it was only when it was oriented in the vertical position, and that's because it was more prone to being vibrated around with kids running around it. Basically, if there was a big disruption around it it would shake the reader and scratch the disk like that.
For the demolition derby question, yes they do exist. However it's not as extreme as it sounds. It's mainly battered, near broken cars crashing into each other at a relatively slow pace as to not hurt the drivers and are eliminated if the car is too damage to continue. i.e. the engine dies or a wheel falls off. Also they usually take place in small dirt arenas typically located in county fairs or someplace like that.

"Ultor is a force for good" - Someone who has never played Red Faction
Did you know. With the samurai sword with both rt and lt if you hold them down you do a special swing but what you don’t know if you hit a regular swing you do some finisher. But some people use it again like RT + RT to get a cool finisher and LT + LT and also get a cool finisher. You can mix it up and get a different finisher (I discovered it last week and I was friggin amazed) LT + RT and RT + LT are there too. I recommend go playing the game and execute this on a npc walking by

Ultor has never cared much about the poor, working class. You can see their methodology only gets worse with time in 2075, when the first Red Faction takes place, another game made by Volition five years before Saints Row 1 came out.
If there's one thing I dislike about the character customisation, it's that both male and female models share the same body proportions as each other, meaning women have the same proportions as men do. It makes the female characters look somewhat weird, especially with their longer torsos and shorter legs, and I was kind of glad Volition fixed that with Saints Row 3.
This game was the Destroy All Humans 2 of the Saints Row series it was absolutely great

Being a huge fan of it as well it was really refreshing, I enjoyed it just as much and Roman having a cameo that was named after the dude who cucked him with his girl was really hilarious 😭 They're both absolutely brilliant games (with a green tint that makes them look like an urban hell but stil amazing anyway)

Saints Row 2 is still my favorite Saints Row game.
This was one of the first games I played on PlayStation 3.
The same thing happened to my Xbox copy.
Our disc for Saints row two had the exact same issue, with the ring being burnt into it. You could launch the game no problems, but after playing for a little bit or driving under any overpasses, the game would freeze

I love the music, story, game play, and even the weapons.
I hated the collectable to 100% the game. Saints Row 3 fixed that problem as well as 4 but made tons of new problems in the process.
The game didn’t really help you find the 5 annoying collectibles: CD’s, Spray paint locations, secret location, stunt jumps, and mail packages. Each set of those collectibles took at least 3 hours alone. What is worst is to get the collectibles with a friend in Co-op.
The DLCS or surprisedly fun and worth the money when they first came out and I am only talking about story DLC’s.
There was a surprisingly advanced multiplayer system. You could make you own online gang, design logo, have online and gang rankings, make custom actions, and had an early console social media system.
It did feel like the game was souly design for the Xbox 360.
The first one is an Xbox exclusive so it makes sense

I donno about you, but Shogo's father seemed to me even dumber than his son, kicking out Ultor boss when Ronin had A LOT of trouble just because of Kazuo's selfishness was kinda...overly dumb...and he continued to screw up a lot more than his son.
I hate Heli Assault in every SR game, not because I don't like flying but because it's just. So. Damn. Boring. There's literally no challenge in it, on PC at least you just put your cursor/crosshair over things and they die. You have all the time in the world to do it and the only way you can fail is if you fly into a building. In SR3 there are a few levels where you can't even fail if you go AFK.
By the way you're wrong about racing in SR2, not all races are time attacks, some of them have actual opponents but I agree that they all suck, mainly because of how bad the driving mechanics are in this game. I'm surprised you haven't mentioned that, they're especially horrendous on PC where the controls are also broken.
The off screen rockets killing your character was also a problem in Destroy All Humans 2
Just love the secret mission I usually play at the end of everything to wrap up the story. That's why I love this game alot.

Yes, it's real. It originally started in America as two people playing "chicken" - driving directly at each other and see who swerves first. After too many people died, people found out "hey, I just wanna see cars crash. What if we just crashed into the cars?" So they did that and..... kept dying. The next thought was "How do we smash cars and not die?" Well, monster trucks..... or robot cars. And now, we're here
Demo derbies are real, but obviously without the exploding cars. They aren't common like most sports, but you can find one if you go looking hard enough. The cars get modified so they can take repeated hits without the car catching fire.
Quite late answer but maybe you will see it. Xbox 360 had a problem with disc drive. Sometimes when you accidentally move a console while playing game it will damage the disc. Happened to me when I took my Xbox and GTA 4 to play at friends house, his dad accidentally hit the console and my copy of GTA 4 looked like your copy of saint row 2. You can still get that copy of the game working all you have to do is drop it to local disc repair service. It took 2 or 3 runs in machine but they managed to get it to working stage and it cost me about 5 euros instead having to buy a new copy.

Saints Row 2's metal playlist is probably the series' best, they're all practically bangers with a few undesirables. Whereas SR3 half the list is garbage tier.
SR2 Ost in general is top tier. I would even say it's on par with some gta soundtracks.

In the process of playing SR2 and I'm on that Ultor mission and I have it on easy, yet the helicopter keeps destroying me with one shot of their rocket, and the fact that it's a homing rocket, you can't even dodge it, so I honestly just stopped there for now.
If you fire off the chain gun it will work as a flare to disable the homing missiles
You've got an interesting take on the missions for each gang. I really liked the Ronin but find the rest very meh and predictable. But I understand the sons of samedi observations.
