Welcome to Eastern Washington.... BEAUTIFUL! We are asked quite often which state is our favorite? Honestly, we can’t answer this question. Every state we visit is BEAUTIFUL in its own way.....it is so hard to compare. This is one of my favorite things about van-life!
Hog Lake is a PERFECT example.... when you arrive you might not think it’s that Beautiful.....but just take a few minutes for the beauty to sink it.....it’s there!!!

You did a very nice job making the scenic part of this video. I loved the flowers in the wind, and the drone shots of the lake. It looks like a nice place to go for a hike and spend some time.
One thing I love about your channel, and also makes you guys unique among vanlife couples, is that you often split up and do your own thing. This provides two things for the viewers: a different perspective on things, and double the activities/content. Win win! Very glad to see you carry radios when you do this. Right on the outskirts of the scab lands created by the Great Missoula flood 13k to 15k years ago. Glacier dam erupted during the last ice age. It carved out much of eastern WA to the Columbia River gorge. Beautiful area You're not far from us in the N Idaho Panhandle area. We had a cool June with nice rain. The wild flowers have been grand. Welcome to the PNW.
We are loving the late season 💐 🌸 🌺! We probably have been pretty close to your neck of the woods lately. We have family near Sand Point.😀 I have fun looking and the areas we are in and guessing how they have been shaped over time.

one adVANture at a time We are going to be full-time van lifers ourselves next year. We will be hiking the Appalachian Trail first then moving into our van when we are done with that. Hope to run into you in our travels.
That's a great drone shot, flying up the rock steps as the creek heads down to the lake.

If you can find such a secluded spot to camp in the middle of summer...during a pandemic, that is pretty amazing. You really captured the beauty of this spot with your amazing photography. Thank you for sharing with us. Always great information in your videos.

You were only 10 miles from two of the best kayaking lakes in Eastern Washington. I wish I had known you were there I would have brought some kayaks and taken you out. Maybe next time.

If more people would leave comments RUclips would promote your videos more. Another great video and it's a part of Washington state that doesn't get much attention. Carrie, try a polizer filter on your camera especially for shot between 10:AM and 4:PM. It will only cost you 1 step of ISO, but the colors will really pop in your landscape photography. You obviously have some skills. But we would like to see the beautiful colors you experience.

We also love the cloud reflection in the lake! Roodle has no fear! ...unless he hears a loud noise in the woods. He will tuck tail and run the other way. 😜

@@oneadVANtureatatime I have not. Did a lot of work last year at FishTrap lake and the snakes were pretty quiet. Hiking the area in fall and early spring is amazing as you noted in your video. Keep up the good work and safe travels.

The Promaster has been very good to us. In 72,000 miles we have been to the shop twice for minor repairs. We love it and are very happy with our choice. 😀

I live in the Tri-Cities WA. We average only about 6” of precipitation a year!!!

Our radios are good for about 2 miles even though they say they will go to about 5 . They do charge USB which works good for us. 😀
